User :   I have small red itchy bumps (about 1-2mm across at first discovery) on my hands and stomach. About 4 on my stomach, and 15-20 on my hands. They are in no discernable pattern except that they SEEM to be near my visible veins. There are none of my legs or feet. The ones of my stomach are very spread out. No obvious groupings on my hands either. No red rash.
Doctor :
Let me read it
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :   May I know your age?
User :   21 year old male.
Doctor :
May I know your age and gender?
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Since when are you having this issue?
User :   I'd say about a week now
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
Do you have fever?
User :   No a high one. 99.1
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :   Are the bumps painful or itching?
User :   Not horribly itchy, but they do itch enough that I have the desire to scratch them
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
This looks mainly like a viral fever
Doctor :
For now what you should do is to take symptomatic treatment
Doctor :
there is no need to worry with your presentation
Doctor :
Before that,do you have any other symptoms that is worth mentioning?
User :   Not that comes to mind...but would viral fever manifest in red itchy bumps like that? Because I don't feel feverish, the worst I *feel* is I have a runny nose.
Doctor :   Yes, it does manifest through skin lesions

Doctor :
many a times
Doctor :
For now, what I would suggest you is to take paracetamol for fever
Doctor :
not more than 3 times daily
Doctor :
and apply lacto calamine lotion over the lesions
Doctor :
that should be enough for now
User :   Okay. Just curious, what is it that doesn't point towards it being insect bites?
Doctor :   Yes, insect bites and allergies are other common causes

Doctor :
but the distribution of the lesions as per your explanation
Doctor :
it does not seem to be an insect bite
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
User :   Okay. How long will it take to clear up, if its viral fever?
Doctor :   within 7 days
User :   Well it's been about a week since I saw my first bump or two, and it's progressed, is it going to get worse before it gets better?
Doctor :   No

Doctor :
It shall improve once the fever is fine
Doctor :
and the fever shall not be for more than 7 days
Doctor :
I hope it has not extended that time for now
User :   I haven't really felt feverish...is it possible to have a fever and not realize it?
User :   Like at all, in the last 7 days
Doctor :   Yes, the temperature would be a good indicator

Doctor :
rather than feeling feverish symptoms
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?

Doctor :   Are you there?
Doctor :   I have to close the window as you are not responding. Please chat with our doctors 24/7 for medical queries.
