User :   thanks no probes
Doctor :   Ok
User :   given antibiotcs and he became OK
User :   He was away from Bangalore, now he is back to bangalore, again got viral fever
User :   Consulted the pediatrician, he told us to check the temp, if its above 99 then give crocin 5Ml
Doctor :   Since when is he having fever? Does he have any other symptoms like sore throat, cold cough?
User :   Fever is there from monday night
User :   but it comes and goes off
User :   It ranges between 98 and 99.3
Doctor :   Does he have any other symptoms like sore throat, cold cough?
User :   he has become bit weak because of this fever, taking milk little only
User :   No sir
User :   only fever
Doctor :   Does he have any other symptoms like breathing issues, vomitting etc?
User :   While breathing during sleeping time, kind of sound comes
Doctor :   Since when is this sound coming? Does he have running nose?
User :   whenever he gets fever and cold, this sound comes, now he does not have running nose and cough
Doctor :   Fever can be due to many causes as viral, bacterial infection, lung infections, climatic changes etc.
User :   ok sir
User :   he has Heamoglobin content bit less
User :   I think its around 9
Doctor :   If the fever is present for 3 to 5 days its fine but if prolonged and along with this breathing sound then I will advise yo to get him examined by a pediatrician once to see if his chest is clear or not.
Doctor :   To rule out any infection.
Doctor :   When was his Hb tested?
User :   we consulted the peditraician 2 days back, he has checked and he said its because of viral , asked us to continue with crocin for 3 days and come back
User :   HB test was done 2 weeks back sir
Doctor :   Then you can continue with crocin as viral fever does not require any antibiotics and takes about 5 to 7 days to get down.
Doctor :   Only it requires proper rest.
Doctor :   For the fever crocin is fine.
User :   Ok sir. He said if fever is above 99, then we give crocin, but my son temp is ranging between 98 and 98.5
User :   can we still give?
User :   we are worried a lot so
Doctor :   N0 need to give then since it is fine
User :   ok sir, but he looks weak at that time, no activities also,
User :   Is it ok to get admitted in a good hopsital?
Doctor :   Viral does make baby weak and lethargic and admission is not required as such at this stage.
User :   OK sir
User :   What foods can be given to him?
Doctor :   Just admitting for viral fever is not a good idea but if the symptoms increase then get him examined.
Doctor :   Give him milk and fluids as juices soups, water, daliya
User :   becasue he got viral fever 3 rd time in this month
User :   so worried , can we do some blood test again
Doctor :   Some babies do get infection in this age, also his Hb being low could lead to this
User :   oh Ok sir. whats your advise in this case
Doctor :   Two weeks back only Hb was done or some other tests were also done?
User :   i am not sure sir, i was not there at tht time, my wife told me that reports are normal but HB bit low
User :   can we do it again as per your suggestions? pls suggest
Doctor :   If all tests were normal then no need to repeat it. Also just give him lots of cereals, green leaves mashed after cooking to increase Hb aftyer viral is gone
User :   OK sir
Doctor :   2)Always keep him under hygienic conditions so that he does not catch any infections.
User :   Ok sir Thank you so much
