User :   I have had a bloody stool today, deep maroon in color. Of course I have googled and found several reasons. Obviously the big scare is could it be cancer. First question, is there less to worry about of its a once off, i.e. I dont bleed regular, i.e. just today. Also, I suppose I have to admit that I have abused alcohol for some time. Could this be a factor?

User :   I'm 40. No pain. I'm not sure if I have hemorrpoids I think I have in the past. This has happend beforte, and the color was bright red, but what worried me this time is that the color is deep maroon. I had mild diarea toda as well
