User :   My father in law had just had a hole in his retina fixed with a gas bubble, he now has a detached retina in the same eye that has to be repaired. He just recovered from the hole being repaired with in the last couple of week. Is it possible the hole being repaired caused the retina to detach. My father in law is 92.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi, what can you tell me
Doctor :   It is difficult to predict whether the treatment itself has caused retinal detachment.
Doctor :   Though any form of trauma is one of the causes for retinal detachment,
Doctor :   the procedure may or may not be responsible for the RD.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   yes thanks
Doctor :   Do you have any other query that I can assist you with?
User :   no thanks
Doctor :   Please fill the feedback form too.
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
