Doctor:I was able to visualize the lesion adjacent the mouth, but it was not very clear at the nasal region.
Doctor:This hyperpigmented rash could be due to an inflammatory condition probably due to an infection.
Doctor:or a cosmetic product.
Doctor:It is unlikely to be a reaction to mango.
Doctor:I would suggest you to try some antifungal creams
Doctor:Candid B topical cream would be a good choice.
Doctor:You can apply this cream on the affected region once or twice a day.
User:How long will it take to clear it off?

User:i went to a dermatologist on the onset of rash but the cream he suggested a scalp shampoo
User:and mamoz-t cream
Doctor:may I know what the dermatologist diagnosed this rash as
User:she said it can be due to dandruff and staying in AC for longer time
User:usually our AC in office goes below 23
Doctor:Vidyashree, let me explain.
Doctor:Dandruff is caused by a species of fungus and it is possible that you might have developed this inflammatory reactions secondary to it.
User:but i dnt have dandruff and that when doctor suggested may be bcos of AC
Doctor:From what I see on the photograph and your description of symptoms, it does appear you might have developed this due to an infective cause.
Doctor:Momoz T is similar to candid B but with different actions.
Doctor:If Momoz T has not produced any changes in the rash, I would suggest you to try candid B for a few days.
User:do i need a oral medication as well
Doctor:As far as its relations with AC is concerned, I cannot comment on that.
Doctor:Fungal infection are oppurtunistic infections. It occurs if a person is predisposed.
Doctor:I would suggest you to try the medication for another 3-5 days
Doctor:and meantime you may take a second opinion from a dermatologist.
Doctor:If you wish, you may take an online opinion from our panel of specialist.
User:how do i do that?
Doctor:Our panel of specialist can give an online second opinion about your condition and whether or not you would need a oral medications with topical cream.

User:i am concerned about pigmentation
Doctor:Let me assure you.
User:how long will it take to get the old skin tone back
Doctor:The pigmentation is the least thing which I am worried.
Doctor:If the cause is treated, the pigmentation will fade away in a few months.
Doctor:In addition, the pigmentation can be easily treated by a cream containing glycolic acid/aloevera/kojic acid.
Doctor:There are numerous creams such as bright cream/clearz cream which contains these ingredients
User:can i start it in parallel with candid b cream
Doctor:Moreover these days there are dermabrasion procedures available which are affordable and effective.
Doctor:I would suggest you to find the root cause and treat it.
Doctor:Once the cause is treated, the pigmentation should resolve.
Doctor:The other medications can be started if there is no improvement then.
Doctor:It looks like a reaction to fungus, but do take an opinion from a dermatologist to know more about i.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:okay i will go with candid b
Doctor:But do not wait for more than 3-5 days.
Doctor:If there is no reduction in the size or symptoms,
User:If it is not effective then i will go for consultation
Doctor:I recommend you to take a second opinion.
Doctor:Hope it is clear.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:Is there any possibilty to spread?
Doctor:Yes, without treatment fungal infection can spread.
Doctor:Is there any other query?
User:okay do i need to take any antibiotic?
Doctor:No, either momoz T or candid B can be tried initially.
Doctor:If there is no improvement, then I recommend you to take a second opinion.
