Doctor :   so be relaxed, not to get tensed
Doctor :
Hi are you there
User :   yes
Doctor :
its more towards Multiple boils or carbuncle
Doctor :   i will advice you few good medical tips
Doctor :   this boils is due to the infection of bacteria like stahphylococcus and streptococcus
User :   ok
Doctor :
Because boils are contagious, touching the skin after handling a boil or improperly treating a boil can cause spreading to other areas of skin.
Doctor :   Multiple boils which appear on the skin as clusters of raw, red, irritated skin are called "carbuncles."
User :   ok
Doctor :   1. using fresh towels or disposable paper towels with each treatment and washing.
Doctor :   2. Also, wash hands immediately after touching the boil.
Doctor :   3. Cross-contamination is often worse than the original boil.
Doctor :   4. Use Caladryl lotion for the itching and inflammation and redness to subside
Doctor :
use for atleast 3 times a day for 3-4 days
User :   ok
Doctor :
To stop benadryl tablets or syrup form
Doctor :   5. Use cortisone, as it good for healing of the wound
User :   ok
Doctor :   Take hot showers at least twice daily, instead of baths.
Doctor :
The added heat and moisture will help the boil to open and drain on its own.
User :   do i not want to open them up?
Doctor :   dont open it
User :   ok
Doctor :
Heat application increases the circulation to the area
Doctor :   6. Vitamin C tablet will boost the immune system
Doctor :
help to reduce the infection of the skin
Doctor :
as its available over the counter
Doctor :
you can use it once daily, after food, in the nite, for 10 days
User :   ok
Doctor :
These measures will help you
Doctor :
to reduce the infection
Doctor :
even a topical antibiotic cream is good
Doctor :
which contains Neosprin base
User :   ok
Doctor :
this will help you to reduce the infection
Doctor :
So overall be relaxed
User :   what may have caused this to happen?
Doctor :
your infection will subside soon
Doctor :
did you have any contacts with goats or any animal danders
User :   we show goats and my fiance owns dogs and horses so yeah a little I guess
Doctor :
this can spread the skin infections very easily
Doctor :
at the same time if the body defence mechanism is weak then the bacteria can cause infection
Doctor :
even with these measures, if the boils are getting worsen
Doctor :
then you need, a course of good antibiotic tablets to over come the infection
Doctor :   will hope you will get well soon
User :   thats for sure
Doctor :
Is there any thing else that i can help you with ?
Doctor :
Please fill the feed back form and comment box
User :   you said that this is possibly a staph infection is that what most people term as the normal staph infection?
User :   because if it is that is something that may be an issue with my job.
Doctor :
yes you are right
Doctor :
No issue with your job
Doctor :   it can also be due to streptococcus infection
Doctor :
but both of them will respond to the above measures and good course of antibiotics
Doctor :
both produce frequent skin infections
User :   do I have to worry about transmitting to anyone else?
Doctor :
as much as possible try to avoid touching the rashes or boils
Doctor :   use proper hand washing
Doctor :
solutions
Doctor :
if any directly touches you boils or come in contact with the towels and hand kerchiefs that you have used
Doctor :
then there is a chance of getting infection transmitted to them
Doctor :   Avoid spicy and oily foods, as this can irritate the rash further
Doctor :   consume plenty of water, to keep your self hydrated
User :   ok, so all of the greasy fair food that I ate this weekend may have made it worse
Doctor :
they directly does not cause boils
Doctor :
these greasy foods have indirect effect
Doctor :
on these rashes
Doctor :
they can cause more rashes, worsen the itching
Doctor :
and even the redness
User :   alright, is it normal to have one on the areola?
Doctor :
yes as it comes under chest area, it normal to have in areolar region
User :   that is the one that is the most irritated at this point
User :   there is no chance that this could be from a bug bite or an allergic reaction then correct?
Doctor :   yes i understand your problem

Doctor :   as per your histroy it doesnot look like bug bite
Doctor :
bug bite does not cause pus collection in the boils
User :   ok
Doctor :
it will not cause multiple boils in one area
Doctor :
its a self limiting disease
User :   i'm just looking at a few pictures of it as well and it does tend to look like mrsa
Doctor :   by day 4 or 5 it fades living a black scar
Doctor :
its not like MRSA
Doctor :
its just the infection of skin by staph or strep
User :   ok
Doctor :
MRSA is severe skin manifestation caused by staph, where the organism are resistant to higher antibiotics
User :   so it will take the antibiotic treatments first to detrmine for sure that it is not?
User :   or there is no chance that it is mrsa
Doctor :   the chance of MRSA is least likelyl
Doctor :
the patients will be more sick
User :   that is good to hear
Doctor :
like high degree fever, severe rashes, lymph node swelling, discharging pus from the boils
User :   the other pictures that I saw that looked similar were from red ant bites but in minnesota that is unlikely
Doctor :
yes, even the geographic area does not favor MRSA
User :   ok
Doctor :
Be relaxed
Doctor :
Try those measures, it will help you
User :   one other issue that i was going to ask about is a rectal issue. I was going to wait until my phisical but since I'm paying for this now I might as well ask if you can help at all
Doctor :   Please proceed
Doctor :   I will help you in this query
User :   For the past few years I'm pretty sure is how long its been, I have been having a leaking issue is about all that I can describe it as. No blood ever is involved but I do get leakage consistantly especially when I am active.
Doctor :   ok
User :   I usually wear some type of compression shorts when I am working as that seems to help keep it constricted a little more.
User :   I everyonce and a while will have extreme bloating and gas in conjuntion with the leakage as well.
Doctor :
ok
User :   I have never had a colonoscopy either and am thinking that is what is going to have to happen but hopefully not
Doctor :
do you mean pus or watery discharge from the anal region
User :   watery because all I do is wipe like I normally do and that will take care of it for a little while but generally comes back again
Doctor :
do yu have any difficulty in passing stools ?
User :   no not at all
Doctor :   do yu have any blood in the discharge
Doctor :
do yu have any constipation or loose stools
User :   no the only time there is blood is if it is irritated around the hole
Doctor :   ok
User :   constipation every once in a while
Doctor :   ok
User :   not loose generally
Doctor :
did you get any investigations done ?
User :   such as?
Doctor :   like stool examination
Doctor :
stool for occult blood
User :   no
Doctor :
ultrasound abdomen and pelvis
User :   i do not visit a doctors office for anything but phisicals because I have had generally good health
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
its better to get a stool test done
User :   I have a phisical scheduled for a couple weeks from now. Is that something that would be covered in that or would that be something that gets charged on top of the phisical
Doctor :
so it will guide us for futher investingations and treatment
Doctor :
no it will be covered in that only
User :   ok, how quick of a turn around time is there with that and what possible outcomes might come from this?
Doctor :
even a colonoscopy will guide us more in the diagnosis
User :   what are the possible reasons i am experiencing this?
Doctor :
This can a fistula in the anal region
Doctor :   givig rise to the water discharge
User :   is there something to prevent this from happening or regulate it better?
Doctor :
yes
Doctor :   Ideal would be to get the tests done
Doctor :
so a proper and early treatment is done
User :   is it possible damage has been done beyond repair or is it something that is possibly cancerous?
Doctor :
its not any cancerous issue
Doctor :
damage is there but, it can be repaird
User :   surgicaly or medication?
Doctor :   do yu have blood in the stools
User :   no
Doctor :
do yu have weight loss
User :   gain more so
User :   just fat though, haven't had time to work and this is a draw back of wanting to go
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
do yu feel, its due to malabsorption of food
User :   the weight gain is probably due to that yes, bad diet, lack of exercise so yes
Doctor :   do yu have abdominal pain ?
User :   no e
Doctor :   do yu have any burping or bloating sensation in the abdomen ?
User :   every once in a while
Doctor :   as per your histroy it does not fit to cancerous codition
User :   not constantly
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :   so get a basic stool examination

Doctor :
stool for occult blood
Doctor :
and if needed colonoscopy
User :   so would the damage that may have been suffered require surgery to repair or would meds be able to take care of it. If that is what it is.
Doctor :
only a colonscopy can guide us
Doctor :
wheter to manage medically or sugrgically
User :   ok, does it seem inevitable that I will be needing to submit to a colonoscopy or that will just depend on the stool sample
Doctor :
if there is any abnormality in stool sampling and cultre
Doctor :
then colonoscopy is requried
User :   ok
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :   Is there any thing else i can help you with ?
User :   nope that should take care of it. Gotta get some sleep gotta be at work in about 5 hours. Thank you for your help
