User :   it's been 3 years since i started, and up to now i've only been using willpower as they call it ;-)
Doctor :   As you know that amphetamine withdrawl has no specific medication.
Doctor :   Very few doctors use mitrazipine, but very less ised and still under research.
Doctor :   The best way to withdraw amphetamine is to gradually taper the dosage under the supervision of your doctor or the psychiatrist.
Doctor :   Hope you are following?
User :   yup
User :   reason i'm here, is i feel uncomfortable talking about this with my doc, i guess i'm wrong ehn?
Doctor :   The best thing would be to strike a balance of exercises, mood elevating programs, Yoga & Meditation for gradual withdrawl.
User :   that's pretty much what i came up with, thx anyway....
Doctor :   I got what you wanted to convey, but a proper Addiction medicine specialist would surely help you.
User :   one last question??
Doctor :   And you would surely be getting rid of the amphetamines.
Doctor :   Please proceed.
User :   if my wife and I, are to be trying to conceive ( witch makes obvious the reason of me wanting to quit ) can it possibly affect a futur baby?
Doctor :   Medically it does not affect as such , but socially the studies say that 30% of children become potential drug addicts.
Doctor :   So, I would rather congratulate you,
Doctor :   for thinking in positive lines
Doctor :   And would encourage you to do so and seek full co-operation from your wife too.
User :   my worries are not in social matters, i just want to make sure that even with the fight i'm going trough my kid is not gonna pay for it...
Doctor :   No medically it has not been proven and research is still on.
