Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello
Doctor :   give me a min please
User :   alright
Doctor :   let me read your query
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   well housecat , no abrasions .. no bleeding .. and already got 2 shots ...
Doctor :   well there is nothing to worry about
User :   yes he was insisting on it very badly
User :   is there any chance of him getting rabbies if he has the 5 shots?is there any chance he might get rabbies instead, because convincing him is a big deal for me
User :   my cats are fully vaccinated
Doctor :   there are as it is no chances for him to get rabies now itself
User :   please elaborate
Doctor :   The most common side effects associated with the rabies vaccine are itching, redness, soreness or swelling at the injection site
Doctor :   thats about it
User :   even if there was bleeding after a scratch from a fully vaccinated house cat,are there chances of rabbies even then?
Doctor :   see since your cats are also vaccinated then its all OK
Doctor :   even if there was a bleeding and your cats are vaccinated for sure
Doctor :   then there is ABSOLUTELY nothing to worry bout
User :   so can he go ahead with the 5 shots as he is insisting on getting that ok?
Doctor :   he can but let me tell you that he is then on more risks for sideffects
Doctor :   ide effects include abdominal pain, nausea, headache, dizziness and muscle aches.
Doctor :   Other possible but less common rabies vaccine side effects include chills, low-grade fever, fatigue, general body discomfort, hives, joint pain and weakness
Doctor :   so why takethose chances
User :   alright these are mild side effects then i guess
Doctor :   take those
Doctor :   i mean its not really worth it in this case
User :   i know, but he wont listen to me
Doctor :   of course there are NO major side effects but at 80 years of age the body is a little fragile
User :   if u dont mind can u tell me which country ur based in right now?
Doctor :   i am from Bangalore India
Doctor :   and trust me we really know Rabies well here
User :   ok thankyou..
User :   yes i know
Doctor :   your most welcome
User :   talking to u was very helpful and it has made things more clear to me
Doctor :   take care of your self and try again to talk to him
User :   u takecare aswell
Doctor :   thank you
Doctor :   happy holidays
User :   u too thanx
Doctor :   good bye
