User :   Hello. I have been suffering from a really bad cold overnight. I have been sleeping constantly and when I weak up, I am drenched in a cold sweat. My hands and feet are ice cold and I have a severe cough (where my whole chest and lungs hurt because it's so forceful) and I feel extremely weak and it is had for me to focus. I also have been having left side lower pelvic pain for several years now (where my ovaries would be) and my left lower back (corresponding to right behind the front of the pelvis) has been hurting. I am extremely scared of what it might be and am really scared to go to the ob/gyn. Any ideas?
Doctor :   hello
Doctor :   give me a min please, let me go thru your query
User :   sure, no problem.
User :   *wake up
Doctor :   may i know your age please ?

Doctor :   do you have any other medical condition ?

Doctor :   how long you have been having this cold now ?
User :   since this past Monday
User :   it got worse at night.
User :   so I've only had this cold for 1 day
Doctor :   it looks like a lung infection, well worry not
User :   is that bronchitis?
Doctor :   all you need is just get an X RAY done and then a simple antibiotic course will fix you
User :   ok.
User :   what about the left pelvic pain and left breast and armpit pain?
Doctor :   and also for the lower abdominal pain a ultrasound is required
User :   I've been going to the chiropractic and when they took an xray of my spine, they said that my hips were uneven and due to one of the lumbar verterbrae's being misaligned - that was what was causing the pelvic pain and as for the under armpit pain, the chiro said that it was b/c one of my ribs were out of this possible?
Doctor :   now you should not be scared of going to your physician, as any condition when we find it early its completely cured
User :   I'm a big baby when it comes to pain - I'm married- but I wanted to know are pap smears usually painful (if you are female doctor - that is..?)
Doctor :   no not at all
Doctor :   pap smear is not painful
User :   so whether your a virgin or not, it doesn't hurt..correct? may I ask - why do ob/gyn's not give any kind of local anesthesia for ovarian cyst biopsies? also, one last question: is the breaking into a cold sweat and feeling extremely weak - is this from the cold or lung infection?
Doctor :   cold is a symptom
Doctor :   aggravated by infection
User :   oh ic. ok
Doctor :   it does not matter if you are a virgin or not pap smear wont hurt
User :   ok. that's good to know.
Doctor :   you can tell your gynecologist to give you a a local infection anesthesias during a biopsy
User :   what's your thoughts as to my left breast pain and under arm pit pain..?
User :   oh ok.
Doctor :   since how long you have been having this pain ?
User :   it comes around the time my menstrual cycle is about to start..
User :   I have not kept track of how long I've had it for
Doctor :   then its more towards a hormonal issue
User :   can you please elaborate?
Doctor :   nothing serious many women have tender breast during their periods
User :   I was getting scared tat it might be breat or lymphnode cancer..
User :   I tend to think the worst and often scare myself..
Doctor :   no dont worry
User :   if it was any indication of ovarian cancer, cysts, breast cancer or lymphnode cancer - you would have suspected..right?
User :   for the ultrasound, it is usually vaginal or just on top of pelvic region on the outside?
Doctor :   yes those diseases have specific symptoms or red flags as we call them
Doctor :   and you none
User :   oh really?
Doctor :   but diagnostic tests are must
User :   if I may know, what are some of the red flags - just for my peace of mind..
Doctor :   we do want to rule out everything
Doctor :   rapid weight loss, constant pain all the time
User :   I've been gaining weight.
User :   but when you say pain all the time...are you talking like every single day?

User :   oh ok
Doctor :   as the cancer does not subside
Doctor :   it only grows
User :   I did notice that when I'm in the shower, sometimes I feel pressure in that pelvic area
Doctor :   a ultrasound will help us with your pelvic pain symptom
User :   almost as if it's a bulging feeling..and I feel bloated too
Doctor :   it can be just a benign cyst and mostly can be treated with medications
