Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi, I was just talking to a Doctor and got cut off. I paid for 30 mins and only had about 10. It's just taken me 5 mins to get back to the site.
Doctor :   it is ok
Doctor :   we give u time
Doctor :   go ahead with ur query
User :   Ok then. I have been experiencing weakness in my left hand along with dizziness, an off balanced feeling and strange sensation in my head,
Doctor :   How old are you ?
User :   25, I'm 26 next month
Doctor :   Do you have any medical problems?
Doctor :   If the time is not enough for ur chat we extens the time ok
Doctor :   we will not charge extra
User :   Sounds good, thank you. Will the session end? Will I need to log back in or something?
User :   The time says 2 mins left. How will I get back to chat without paying extra?
Doctor :   Dont worry
Doctor :   I will extend your time
Doctor :   Just log back in
User :   Ok, thanks. Any way, no. I have no medical problems that I am aware of. 25 years old. I have been very fit until around 2 months ago. Training 2 hours a day in Martial Arts. Eat healthy and drink pleanty of water
Doctor :   I am extending the time for 24 hrs
User :   Thank you. Does this mean I can discuss for 24 hours? or I have to wait 24 hours before I can chat?
Doctor :   Yes
User :   Right, thank you.
Doctor :   See now you have dizziness, weakness in my left hand, off balanced feeling and strange sensation in my head,
Doctor :   Do you have anxiety
User :   Yes
Doctor :   So your symptoms are completely related to panic attack
Doctor :   If you want to rule out oragnic causes like from heart
Doctor :   you can go for some tests
User :   I have had several ECG tests
Doctor :   All of them were
User :   They all came out fine. Normal electrical function and blood pressure was normal
Doctor :   And you are 25 years old you have no chances that you have heart problem
Doctor :   some times , problem neck nones, can cause dizziness and weakness
User :   What are they?
Doctor :   so you can get the nerve conduction studeies of both upper arms and MRI of the neck
Doctor :   any kind of pinched nerves due to disc prolapse
Doctor :   or arthritis
User :   Would they also cause ringing in the ears and tiny light flecks in the eyes?
Doctor :   no
Doctor :   SO get the MRI of the neck and nerve conductions studies
Doctor :   they will show if there is pinched nerves
Doctor :   MRI show if there any disc prolapse or arthritis
Doctor :   It will show the pinching of nerves by vertebrae
Doctor :   So far we we discussed two diagnostic work up
Doctor :   1. heart EKG normal
Doctor :   Hear is good
Doctor :   2. We are planning MRI and NCS nerve conduction studies focus on neck bones and nerves
Doctor :   3. You need to start treatment for anxiety
Doctor :   this includes medicines and Psychotherapy
User :   Well, the symptoms come and go but mainly get worse when I am trying to get to sleep or lying down. The symptoms in total include: light flecks or 'floaters' in vision, occassional ringning in ears, intense movement sensation in head like headache but very little pain, weakness in left hand and aches in arms and I often feel off balance. I will not take meds for anxiety, I am doing a CBT course at the moment.
Doctor :   It could be possible that you have Multiple screrosis
Doctor :   So you need to het the MRI of the brain
Doctor :   WHen do MRI neck include MRI of the brain
Doctor :   WHen u do MRI neck include MRI of the brain
Doctor :   Do you follw me?
User :   Yes, isn't Multiple screrosis really serious though?
Doctor :   First we need to confirm the diagnosis
Doctor :   The symptoms include weaknessm tigling , vision problems
Doctor :   the symptoms come and go
Doctor :   in some cases tey get worse over eriod of time
Doctor :   So confirming the disease and proper treatment will slow down the disease
User :   And the only way to find out would be MRI?
User :   I'm having a blood count tomorrow.
Doctor :   Yes MRI is the initial screening
Doctor :   I recommend you consult a neurologist and follow up with him
Doctor :   DO you follow me?
User :   Yes.
Doctor :   DO you have any other questions ?
User :   So from your experience you think it could be MS but is it possible that it could also be less severe things? Would the anxiety cause all these symptoms too?
Doctor :   Yes
User :   But we need to rule out MS with MRI of neck and head? Is there anything else that you would recommend I do?
Doctor :   Anxiety make you confused . It leads to lot of work ups. Treating the anxiety is better . If symptoms get better that means you have no other problems except anxiety
Doctor :   But in ur case get he MRI of the brain and neck bcoz u have weakness and dizziness
User :   I understand but you think it would be a good idea to get an MRI anyway?
User :   ok
Doctor :   It completely appropriate to get MRIs
User :   Does the symptoms coming on when lying down and trying to get to sleep tie in with the MS symptoms?
Doctor :   i dont know
Doctor :   some symproms present weird
Doctor :   we take prominent symptoms and wok out
User :   Right.
Doctor :   we do investigation according to symptoms and rule out major diseases that be the cause
Doctor :   Did Solve your problem?
User :   Ok, so just to cover off... Gt MRI of neck and head to rule out anything serious and then if all is well carry on with the CBT course?
Doctor :   YES
User :   Ok thanks. Bye.
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting
Doctor :   Sorry for techniqual errotrs
User :   That's ok. Hopefully it is just anxiety...
Doctor :   Bye
Doctor :   U r right
Doctor :   Bye then
User :   Bye.
