User :   I have a question regarding my stomach ache...
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello.
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I've talked to several doctors on here, but i really just want to be sure.
User :   So i would like your opinion on something.
Doctor :   Please proceed.
User :   For the past few weeks, i have been having very bad eating habits. I would either go to work for 4-8 hours or school for 5 hours and not eat a thing, and wait until i get home to eat. 5 days ago, i worked an 8hour shift, and i was extremely hungry that day, and when i got home i ate some food. 4 days ago, during dinner, i all of a sudden experienced a really bad stomach ache.
User :   I just ignored it and went to sleep.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   3 days ago, i told my mom about my stomach, and she told me its from not eating correctly, and i need to eat a good meal regularly. So she made me a steak dinner, and after, i felt great, no aching at all. Well, yesterday, i went to class from 12-430pm. I was hungry at that time, and my head was slightly hurting but i didn't eat until 6pm. After i ate, i felt fine. My headache got worse, so i took a hot shower, and went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and ate a half piece of toast, and went took 2 pain killers. I woke up feeling great, no headache, no stomach ache.
User :   For the past 3 days, i haven't used the restroom, but today i used the restroom, no abnormal pain while i used the bathroom, no blood in my stool, and no blackness in color.
User :   When i eat, my stomach ache goes away, but if i don't eat my stomach ache gets worse. The pain is in the bottom of my belly button. It's sometimes an ache, and sometimes its a burning pain.
User :   When i ate a hot dog, my stomach felt fine, but when i ate a spicy burrito, my stomach was burning.
User :   The last 2 doctors i talked to on here told me that its due to irregular eating, and not eating in a healthy dosage, and its nothing serious. What is your inquiry?
Doctor :   Since your symptoms have been recent one and is associated with irregular eating habits
Doctor :   Its probably related to the same.
User :   ah
Doctor :   Stress and anxiety factors can be also contributing to the same.
User :   yeah
User :   Ive been under a lot of stress lately
User :   and ive been overthinking about this stomach ache too
User :   so in ur opinion, its nothing serious?
Doctor :   Yes,
Doctor :   its unlikely to be a serious condition.
User :   Okay, one doctor suggested i should drink some ginger honey lemon tea.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   will that help?
User :   I read on the internet, ginger has benefits such as helping stomach aches.
Doctor :   Yes, they will help.
User :   You have any advice or tips on helping my stomach ache?
Doctor :   But if you are continuing to be irregular, there are high chances this condition will recurr.
User :   But it's not serious?
User :   Whenever i have a full stomach, my stomach feels great, no aching or anything.
Doctor :   Based on your symptoms, it isn't serious.
Doctor :   You can discuss your symptoms with a panel of superspecialist - a gastroenterologist who will be able to explain you better, if you are interested.
Doctor :   The link to obtaining the second opinion is as follows
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW Doctor :   I will initiate a refund of this chat, if you are interested in obtaining the specialist opinion.
User :   Hm, 38$?
User :   I mean, do you think it's something more serious?
Doctor :   Based on your symptoms, it isn't serious.
User :   Yeah like right now, my stomach was gurgling and i was cramping, so i just ate some chicken broth w/ rice, and my stomach feels great......
Doctor :   You can discuss with a gastroenterologist, who will give you more options to help you (the symptoms are not indicating a serious condition)
User :   If it's okay, I'd rather just talk to you, i don't think i really want to pay 38$. Is that okay, Dr?
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Thank you doctor.
User :   So, if i continue to eat regularly, how long will it take for my stomach ache to finally go away?
Doctor :   Your symptoms should resolve in a few days, as soon as you start eating regularly.
User :   Okay, the other doctor told me to avoid consuming spicy / dairy products which i agree, but, i am going to be drinking ginger tea, which is also spicy, is that okay?
User :   Are you there Dr?
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   You need to reduce the spice in your diet and be regular with your dietary habits.
User :   Okay.
User :   I am going to take some ginger honey lemon tea.
User :   before i go to sleep.
User :   Excuse me Dr, if it was worse, what would i experience?
Doctor :   You mean worse symptoms of ulcers.
User :   okay, but as of right now, i don't have an ulcer correc?T
User :   i read on the internet the symptoms for uclers, and i dont have any of them.
Doctor :   Yes, your symptoms are not suggestive of ulcers.
User :   Oh there is a question i would really like to ask.
User :   I never knew a stomach ache from not eating regularly can last this long, what's causing this ache?
Doctor :   If the severity of the crampy pain is getting worse, or if you develop loose stools/ inability to pass stool or flatusssssss
Doctor :   flatus, it can be a serious concern then.
Doctor :   Hence eat regularly.
User :   What is Flatus?
User :   Oh you mean gas?
Doctor :   Report to your doctor, if your pain is getting worse and you aren't passing stools or gas(flatus)
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   Yes i have Dr.
User :   I am currently making
User :   Ginger tea right now.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Doctor, do you have any other tips or suggestions for me?
User :   what to eat, what not to eat?
Doctor :   Proper chewing, eating slowly, avoiding spicy food is what you need.
Doctor :   no other restrictions.
User :   Okay, sounds perfect.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Oh yeah, one doctor actually suggested that i take these chewable ant-acid tablets.
Doctor :   Since you are not eating well now, you are proned to get gastritis.
Doctor :   These tablets will help you prevent them.
Doctor :   Use them in the mean while get back to regular eating.
User :   ah so i should take them?
Doctor :   You can stop them once your eating habits become regular and your symptoms are down.
User :   I am passing a lot of gas right now.
User :   is that a good sign?
Doctor :   Its probably related to your eating irregularities.
Doctor :   and due to the fact, that you have been taking plenty of spicy and fat diet.
User :   Yeah the acid reducer i have in pill form relives the following
Doctor :   It should resolve.
User :   heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach, prevents heartburn assoicated with acid indigestion and sour stomach brough by eating or drinking certain food / beverages.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach, prevents heartburn assoicated with acid indigestion and sour stomach brough by eating or drinking certain food / beverages. - should i take it?
Doctor :   Can you rephrase your previous question?
User :   Oh, like, you said i should eat an ant-acid, and i listed the effects on the ant-acids.
Doctor :   The antiacid previously mentioned by the doctor isn't because you have the symptoms,
Doctor :   its basically to prevent gastritis/heartburn, as you have been irregular.
User :   i dont have any heartburn.
Doctor :   Yes, the medication given to you is for prevention.
Doctor :   The chances of you getting it are high, if you are going to continue with your irregular eating habits.
User :   Yes, but i have been eating lately.
User :   so like you said and the previous doctors said, i hope my ache goes away.

Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
Doctor :   Yes.

User :   it's just, i can't stop thinking about it.
Doctor :   You need to stop worrying as it can increase your chances of gastritis.
Doctor :   Following a regular eating pattern is going to be absolutely necessary.
User :   yes.
User :   what is "gastritis"?
