User :   I have had hot flashes for twenty three years. I have also had uterine cancer and a hysterectomy and an oopherectomy. I take Paxil for the hot flashes but they are getting worse now - a constricting in my stomach before the flash start, nausea, a momentary headache, the flash itself, then a quieting done until the next time, sometimes 20-30 minutes away. I am up six or seven times a night, walk around in 20 degrees with my coat opened...and I'm seventy years old. What kind of Doctor do I see? What do I do? Someone suggested an endocrynologist.
