User :   I wanted to consult you on two things that are ailing me

User :   1) I seem to get cough when I am about to fall asleep
User :   this has been going on for last several months
User :   I don't have any cold or flu symptoms

User :   I have absolutely no symptoms throughout the day

User :   I am 5.7 and weigh around 75

Do you have any burining feeling in the chest?
User :   no
Doctor :   Do you get sour liquid in mouth?
User :   no
User :   its dry cough
Doctor :   Do you wake up in the night due to cough?
User :   usually I cough for a few times, may be sip a little water and then go off to sleep
Doctor :   Do you have any allergies? Do you have SNEEZING?
User :   no
User :   only start of the sleep

User :   no allergies, no sneezing.
Doctor :   I need to ask Qs to know the what is the problem.

Doctor :   I am not thinking of any allergies, Asthma , GERD/acid refux.
Doctor :   But it seems from environment of room
Doctor :   Could be hot or cold
Doctor :   could be any thing smelling
Doctor :   Could be from any kind of allergies from the bed

Doctor :   So I recommend you to wash the room weekly with water
Doctor :   change the bed and frequently wash the bed lining and comforter
Doctor :   If there is any carpet, do the vacuum
Doctor :   Keep the ceiling and walls out of any dust
Doctor :   These r simple and look silly
User :   I can try changing the bed... room I changed very recently, and it is mopped and very clean and well ventilated
User :   so, I can try changing sheets etc
User :   any remedies to get some relief?
User :   I brush and gargle before sleep
Doctor :   Coming to meds: u can take Cetrizine 1 tab daily

Doctor :   If the cough is annoying , take one spoon of TUSQ cough syrup at bed time

User :   I actually had another problem to get your advice on
User :   When I wake up from sleep in the nights (towards early morning), my ribs and the area around the chest and back aches
User :   however, this symptom goes away within 30 mins of getting up and moving around
User :   some days it is not too much, some days it is quite painful

Doctor :   This is is not worrisome
User :   Yes I think so
Doctor :   This happens from sleeping hpostures
User :   but it is quite uncomfortable
User :   this has happened again for at least last 6 months
User :   I have tried sleeping on diff beds, and also tried to conciously have better posture
User :   If my sleep becomes lighter in the early morning, I can feel a lot of pain while turning from side to side too
User :   and sometimes I have to give up sleep quite early because of the pain

Doctor :   If it is bothing u get some sleeping pills for few days
User :   I am sorry, but I don't think you understood
User :   I am not worried and know it's not from my heart
User :   I also have an extremely sound sleep
User :   the problem is the pain when I wake up

User :   around the torso, around ribs and spinal area.. some day at the back sometimes to the side etc

Doctor :   CBC, Serum Iron
User :   is that blood test

Doctor :   Do you move ur leg lot when u sit or sleep?
User :   I had a general physical test done less than six months back

User :   CBC i think was done there.. Serum iron not sure

Doctor :   2. Medicines : 1. you can muscle relaxants 2. pain mediciens
Doctor :   * you can try muscle relaxants

Doctor :   Give a trila period for 2 weeks
User :   any good one you can suggest ?
