User :   I have a weird stomach ache, i have a couple questions regarding my stomach ache...
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello.
Doctor :   Please proceed with your queries.
User :   Okay, thank you.
User :   Let me fill you in on a little background, i work at a retail store, and i am a cashier. I work 4-8 hours a day. I don't eat on my breaks, and i only drink soda or water. Well 5 days ago, i worked an 8hour shift, and i was extremely hungry, yet i ignored it and didn't eat. When i got home, i was very hungry, and i ate food my parent's prepared for me. Well 4 days ago, i ate some breakfast, and some junk food, like cookies, and some cheese broccoli pastry. That night, my brother brought home some fast food, and i ate my hamburger really fast, and at the halfway point, i started getting this weird stomach ache. So i stopped eating and just went to bed.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   The next morning, i woke up with a stomach ache, and i didn't really eat at all since i was scared if i ate, the stomach ache would get worse. I told my mom about my stomach and she told me it was regarding that i haven't eaten a good meal lately, and i haven't eaten when my stomach says im hungry, thus having my stomach ache. So she made me a steak dinner, and i felt great that night, no stomach ache no nothing.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Yesterday, i woke up at 11am, and ate half a tuna sandwich, and went to school from 12-5pm. I was hungry at the time but didn't eat. I ate a really big dinner that night, and i felt normal. But towards the night, i started getting a headache, and i went to sleep. I woke up around 3am all sweaty, so i ate a half piece of toast, and 2 advil. I woke up just fine, and then i had to use the bathroom, and it was normal, stool color was normal, no blood or anything like that.
User :   I haven't really eaten a good meal today, but for dinner i ate a hot dog and my stomach felt fine, which i ate 3 hours ago. My brother just brought me a Burrito from a fast food joint, and i ate one bite and my stomach started hurting again so i stopped eating it.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Does any of this seem irregular to you, or serious? And, i talked to someone on here earlier, and the Doctor told me it was from irregular eating habits, and that its my lower intestine that's acting up, because the ache is near my lower intestine area.
Doctor :   Can you describe the nature of pain? - is it like a burning sensation or like cramps?
User :   hmm.
User :   Sometimes it's a bit of just achy cramping, and sometimes its burning.
User :   I have no nausea, no vomiting.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Can you confirm the location of this pain - which part of the abdomen aches?
User :   In the lower area, near the bladder area.
User :   It would ache if i don't eat, but when i eat, the ache would calm down, and disappear.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Can you brief me about your bowel habits?
User :   Well, after these stomach aches.
User :   I went to the bathroom today.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   But, i haven't went to the bathroom in 3 days.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Do you suffer from constipation?
User :   No, i do not, i usually go to the bathroom everyday.
User :   or every other day.
User :   but since the ache, i haven't really been eating because i was scared it might get worse, but eating actually helps the pain go away.
Doctor :   How frequent are your bowel habits - do you feel that you need to pass stools after a meal?
User :   Nope.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Have you had similar symptoms in the past?
User :   No i haven't, not with stomach aches.
Doctor :   Do you suffer from heart burns?
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   Yes
User :   I think i lagged for a bit, but i do not suffer from heart burn.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me brief you.
User :   Okay.
Doctor :   Based on your descriptions, your symptoms are not serious concern.
User :   Phew, that's a sign of relief.
Doctor :   I concur with what the previous doctors have mentioned to you.
Doctor :   Its probably more due to hunger pangs and not serious condition.
User :   Well, i ate a hot dog at 530pm, and at like 8:30, i tried eating a burrito, which has heavy salsa, egg, spice, and steak and my stomach started hurting after it.
Doctor :   The symptoms are probably precipitated by you not eating regularly, presence of extra spice and fat in your diet.
User :   I see, so why is this stomach pain lasting for so long? The previous doctor and my mom both told me that i will have this stomach ache for about a week.
Doctor :   You should feel better, once you start eating regularly, avoid the extra spicy food(especially when you fasting).
User :   Like, my mom made me a steak, salad, and mash potatoes.
User :   i ate it with no problem, my stomach actually felt fantastic.
User :   and today, when i ate my hot dog, i felt great....but when i ate this burrito it hit instantly.
User :   oh and i am lactose intolerant, and i take these lactose pills that help break down the lactaid in the milk / cheese, so is dairy something i should avoid while my stomach is aching?
User :   and to add another thing, the pain is below the belly button.
Doctor :   Crampy lower abdominal pain is characteristic of intestinal pain that is often noticed in hunger pangs pain.
User :   My mom is actually going to make me "Ginger Honey Lemon" hot tea, is that okay to drink? The other doctor told me that it will help with the aching.
Doctor :   The cause why this occurs in not known, however factors such as irregular dieting, extraspices, certain food products, stress factors are few of known factors
Doctor :   that can precipitate the cramps.
Doctor :   Yes, you don't have any dietary restrictions, except for extra spicy food and
Doctor :   avoiding milk, diary products and extra fat.
Doctor :   At this point of time, I would also like to point out
User :   Okay, yeah like yesterday, i ate 8 pieces of fried chicken, and fried lemon chicken, so i had a lot of fried food yesterday, can that cause the burning i feel right now in the lower intestine?
Doctor :   that your symptoms can get worse, if you are not going to resolve your dietary irregularities.
User :   Okay, so i need to eat regularely?
User :   even if my stomach hurts, i still need to eat?
Doctor :   Be regular with your food, chew them properly before you swallow, and eat slowly.
Doctor :   You can include this too, to the modifications,
Doctor :   This should prevent the symptoms from occurring.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Yes, i will follow what you said Doctor, so in your opinion this isn't an ulcer, or something serious that i need to to get medication for/
Doctor :   The location of pain and the nature of pain is not suggestive of gastritis or ulcer.
Doctor :   However, if you are going to be irregular with your diet,
Doctor :   you are at risk to develop ulcers too.
Doctor :   Your present symptoms aren't due to ulcer.
User :   Yes, i understand. For now on, when i go to work and school, i am going to bring a sandwich.
User :   Like right now, my stomach is cramping and making noises as if it needs food, so right now what do you think i should eat?
Doctor :   You can eat any thing, without extra spice.
User :   Okay, so like, 4 pieces of toast with jam, and ginger lemon honey tea?
Doctor :   You can.
User :   By the way, your helping me a lot more, so i really appreciate it.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   So i can relax about this? I am the type of person who gets paranoid about a lot of things, and IF i think my stomachs hurting it will start hurting, ill over think a lot.
Doctor :   Its also necessary that you stop overthinking about this.
User :   Yeah, i wish i could Doctor, but i just get paranoid easily...i hate it.
Doctor :   Stress and anxiety are factors that can again make your symptoms worse.
Doctor :   Let me suggest you few measures that can help controlling the anxiety too.
User :   Yeah, my mom told me to just relax, and the other doctor told me that i will be fine, as long as i eat regularly again.
Doctor :   1. Try deep breathing and counting brethes.
Doctor :   2. Take a cool shower
Doctor :   3. Physical exercises in the form of yoga and meditation.
Doctor :   The first two measures will make you relax.
Doctor :   Physical exercise, yoga and meditation will help in long term.
User :   understood
Doctor :   Since you are still young, being paranoid can introduce more problems in the future.
Doctor :   Hence start these measures too.
