Doctor :   Yes , i see the question
Doctor :   I am a General Physician, I believe I can help you within my expertise and If required I shall recommend a specialist.
User :   ok
Doctor :   As the illness is a X linked chromosomal disease
Doctor :   its clear that it does not have cure
User :   So what does x linked chromosomal mean?
Doctor :   only intervention can do is by physical support
User :   So you're not sure of any studies possibly over seas..Or maybe a hospital we could contact?
Doctor :   There are 46 chromosomes in human DNA
Doctor :   amongst 44 are autosomes and the two rest ( X and Y ) sex chromosomes which determine the sex
Doctor :   if its 44xx its a female and if 44 xy then its a male
Doctor :   the genetic mutation ( damage) in the x chromosome results in to Beckers MD
Doctor :   the defect is in every cell of every tissue in the individual .there is no way to cure it
Doctor :   only a physiotherapist can be help of
Doctor :   Can be of help*
Doctor :   he will try to strengthen the muscles or help in using the muscles which has the better power
User :   Really? That's sad. I thought maybe bc of the FDA , etc certain drugs maybe weren't allowed on the market and was hoping maybe someone, somewhere invented something! So what would a physiotherapist actually do?
User :   o I see, like physical therapy?
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   and also care has to be taken towards his heart
User :   I see..Ok. Anything else maybe that could be useful? Information etc?
User :   I'm not certain why?
Doctor :   as he can have Cardimyopathy can sometimes be a part of the illness

Doctor :   Which is where the heart muscles get weak and lead to heart failure and rhythm disturbances
User :   Ok so I need to find out if he sees a cardiologist
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   its a precautionary measure
User :   Wow..that's terrible. No cure. After working with a physiotherapist, if he trained with him could he eventually ever walk again? Has anyone?
Doctor :   walking depends on the severity of the illness
Doctor :   most of them end up in wheel chair
User :   he is in a wheel chair
Doctor :   yes, expected
Doctor :   most will get into the wheel chair in the childhood itself
User :   So in your opinion, for someone who is already wheel chair bound what are the odds of getting a better?
Doctor :   i am sorry , i could consider it to be the extreame
Doctor :   may i know his age ?
User :   40 yrs of age
Doctor :   the age too is a factor which do not support ant betterment
