User :   i had protected sex with 2 prostitutes a day apart (say for example, Monday night and Wednesday night). With the first one i had both anal and vaginal sex. There was also "fingering" involved in both places. With the second one there was only vaginal sex and "fingering"
I developed a sore throat and mild fever on, continuing with the example above, Friday
Could this be a possible HIV infection? Can HIV symptoms manifest themselves so early??
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   hello
Doctor :
User :   i am a bit worried as you can imagine
User :   I forgot to mention that i noticed that there was a small cut on my fingers afterwards. It was not scabbed over
Doctor :   May i know the time period between the exposure and the symptoms exactly ?
User :   Like i mentioned. First encounter was monday night, second was wednesday night, first symptom friday morning
User :   I used protection, but am worried about the cut
Doctor :   ok, there is no chance where it could be HIV at al
User :   absolutely no chance? you sure?
Doctor :   I dont even think of any STD being the cause here
Doctor :   Absolutely no chance for HIV
Doctor :   I am sure of it
User :   then the cut is not an issue?
Doctor :   yes, the cut could be an issue but not related to the symptoms you having now
User :   could you explain that, for my satisfaction?
Doctor :   May i know where exactly is the cut and the cause of it ?
User :   on my right index finger. i think it opened up because of dry skin
Doctor :   did yoy wash your finger after the exposure ?
Doctor :   you*
User :   i dont remember
User :   i should have but it would not have been immediate
Doctor :   ok, still i do consider it not to pose any risk of infection until it has contacted with the blood of the infected
User :   So contraction from vaginal lining is unlikely?
Doctor :   very unlikely
User :   Ok :) just for my knowledge, when do the ARS symptoms start to manifest themselves?
Doctor :   it will take minimum of 2 weeks for the first symptom to appear , and they progress very rapid to Lower respiratory infection leading to low oxygenation in next 2 weeks
User :   Ok so this sore throat was simply too quick then?
Doctor :   yes, very quick
User :   Ok thanks doctor. Thats a relief for me
Doctor :   and it could be bacterial than a viral or any other STD viral infection
User :   which possible STD?
User :   oh you mean it is most likely a bacterial infection and not a viral or STD?
Doctor :   Herpes,
Doctor :   yes, most likely a streptococcal infection
User :   Ok. any other advice you might have?
Doctor :   Gargle with CHLORHEXIDINE solution twice a day
User :   and should i visit my local ENT to start a course of antibiotics?
Doctor :   that will surely get you rid of the sore thraot
Doctor :   thats fine , you may require antibiotics too
User :   k thanks a lot
User :   :)
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
User :   oh and one last question
Doctor :   yes, please
User :   what are chances of contraction in the case of a blowjob without condom?
Doctor :   May i know for which infection ?
User :   for the same. HIV and STDs?
Doctor :   1 to 5% chances
User :   k thanks a lot
Doctor :   only when the partner is infected
Doctor :   Bye for now
