User :   Hi I am XXX -age 30years. I recently had my chest x-ray and the findings are Aortic knuckle is prominent - possible rotational. What does that mean ? How can it be treated .. Is it very serious

User :   Yes
User :   But the overall impression was NOraml chest radiograph
User :   Cardiac size is normal , lung fields are clear

Doctor :   since you have no other problem you have nothing to worry about
Doctor :   when we examine an xray
Doctor :   and if the aorta is slightly bent its called a aortic knuckle
Doctor :   a curved aorta is not a defect
Doctor :   if you have no other signs symptoms like breathlessness or fatigue
Doctor :   then its a normal variation

User :   I try to do atleast 30 -40 minutes work out atleast 3 days a week
Doctor :   do you consume alcohol ?
User :   But I work in a IT firm and most of the day I will not have any physical activity

User :   I take beer mostly on weekends and do not smoke
User :   Even I am planning to quit that since my Cholestral levels are a bit high
User :   I had a complete health check up last week..
Doctor :   well you are in good shape and you don't have any signs symptoms its just a variation
Doctor :   yeah just cut down on fatty oily food
User :   Okay ...One thing My BP will be in between 120 - 130 and 80 -90 most of the times
User :   What care I should take to bring it 120 /80
Doctor :   do regular exercise eat fibre food like vegetables ..
User :   Does Yoga / Pranayama will help ?
Doctor :   your BP is in completely NORMAL range ... dont worry these are slight variations

Doctor :   yes yoga and don't take stress and eat healthy food avoid junk food

Doctor :   no its completely normal since all your other tests are normal .. you dont have to worry about anything

Doctor :   just maintain a healthy lifestyle and you will be alright , with no problems
