Doctor :   hi
User :   hello doctor
Doctor :   please proceed with your health query
User :   doctor this is a gynic related issue
User :   I delivered in Jan
User :   this year
Doctor :   ok. please proceed
User :   it was a normal forcep delivery
User :   my periods started in july after that
User :   then i missed them in Aug but again in sep I had periods
User :   both of these were normal
Doctor :   ok. are you breast feeding the baby?
User :   but this month it was slightly diff
User :   yes doctor i m breast feedign her even now
Doctor :   are the period bleeding duration a nd flow like your usual periods? or are they lighter?
User :   it was usual
User :   but this month i started like spottings in my urine
Doctor :   ok. when you breast feed the baby, you generally tend to have lactation amenorrhea. and during this time you may have gaps in periods.
User :   and its 5 days since i m having it in the same way
Doctor :   are you on birth control use ?
User :   no I am not using any birthcontrol
User :   today the flow is little more than last 5 days
User :   i just wanted to know is it of any concern or its normal to hv periods like this after delivery
User :   i undersatnd about the gaps
User :   but if since i see spottings kind of that normal?
User :   doctor?
User :   are you there doctor?
Doctor :   yes. I am here
User :   ok
Doctor :   are you getting my responses?
User :   no doctor...
User :   i did not get response to my query
Doctor :   ok i will resend them
User :   ok doctor
Doctor :   if the bleeding pattern is changed and and you are having heavy bleeding with spotting in between, then it is not normal
User :   No doctor...I am not having heavy bleeding
Doctor :   are you on any birth control measures?
User :   I just saw some blood in my urine in saturday
User :   no doctor I am not using any birth control
Doctor :   you said you have more flow, so I assumed bleeding to be heavy
Doctor :   do you have abdominal pain, discomfort, pain or burning with passing urine?
User :   after saturday bleeding was only when i passed urine
Doctor :   is this continuing?
User :   no doctor, i hv no issues of pain or any other problem
User :   yes it is continuing even now, just that sine yesterday night flow is slighlty in I am bleeding like periods but very little flow
User :   this is after 5 days of bleedign only when i was passing urine
User :   now it is bleeding other wise also
Doctor :   do you mean to say you are having bleeding at present from vagina or in urine?
User :   but very low flow
User :   vagina
User :   now its vagina...
User :   before this also it was from vagina only i guess
Doctor :   ok. is it bright red or darker in color?
Doctor :   is there cramps or pelvic pain associated?
User :   its looks like how i bleed normally during periods
Doctor :   do you have any other symptoms?
User :   i have a little pain in calf muscle and my leg gets numb very soon if i m sitting for sometime
Doctor :   ok. then i would recommend you to go ahead with a check with your gynecologist that involves testing for blood beta HCG levels and ultrasound scan
Doctor :   to see if uterus is empty or not
User :   oh ok...
User :   so it means its not something thats normal after delivery?
Doctor :   prolonged bleeding without any symptoms, with increasing flow can suggest miscarriage. since you are not on birth control, and have had regular periods before this episode, chances of ovulation (egg release from ovary) and pregnancy cannot be ruled out.
Doctor :   yes.
User :   well I am sure i was not pregnant since my last period
User :   i had my normal period in sep
User :   and since then we have not had any intercourse
Doctor :   if you are relying on pregnancy symptoms to make sure whether you are pregnant or not, then I would advise you not to, since not every woman can experience all symptoms with every pregnancy.
Doctor :   was your september periods normal?
User :   yes doctor, sep period was normal
Doctor :   I mean to ask with regards to flow and duration of bleeding
Doctor :   ok
User :   yes was normal
Doctor :   ok, then it could possibly due to hormonal changes, which can be identified with checking hormonal status.
User :   ok
User :   so in that case is it required to visit my gynic?
Doctor :   so after examination by gynecologist and the scan (to make sure uterus is empty and there is no ovarian problem), a hormonal level analysis can be done (thyroid levels, FSH, LH, prolactin, DHEA levels)
User :   oh ok....
User :   fine doctor, then i will meet my gynecologist for check up
Doctor :   ok. is there anything else you would like to ask me?
User :   no doctor...thank you!
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me. bye for now.
