Doctor :   hi
User :   hi
User :   i have a couple of questions for you today
Doctor :   how can i help
User :   i have sort of a urology up for it?
Doctor :   yes
User :   well, when I was young, I had surgery for an ascended testical. I have been wondering this for years, but I have always been a little embarrassed to ask a doctor. It seems like the procedure they used affixed my left testical to the scrotum...thus, it is affixed at a position near the base of my penis and doesn't ever change locations
User :   is this normal?
User :   it can be very uncomfortable....and I notice that it is considerably smaller than my right testical
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   in the normal individuals
Doctor :   one of the testis is at a lower level than the other
Doctor :   usually the left
User :   yes, i understand that. But mine seems to be attached to the scrotum. I can't move it around in the scrotum like my other testical. Is this normal?
Doctor :   yes may be they are due to fixation procedures that were performed in your childhood
User :   If I am unhappy with the procedure, can I get it fixed. Or is this a necessary procedural result from surgery on ascended testicals?
Doctor :   was that ascended or undescended testis?
User :   i don't remember.....i believe they initially dropped but one drifted back up into my, whichever one that is
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   this may be Testicular retraction
User :   please explain...
Doctor :   80% of fully descended testes can withdraw from scrotum and leave an empty scrotum behind due to cremaster reflex.
Doctor :   basically a variation of normal.
User :   ok thanks, but you seem to be missing the point of my question. I know what a descended testical is. I am wondering about the procedures used to fix them. Thanks for your help, but I think I will consult my physician.
Doctor :   Pls fill this form and tell me when done
Doctor :   the testis is brought down into the scrotum and anchored in a space created in the scrotum (orchiopexy).
Doctor :   cremasteric reflex may be exaggerated,Hence the fixation procedures are performed..
Doctor :   Are you there?
Doctor :   I have to close this window since there is no response from your side, please get back to us if you need further medical advice. We are available from 9AM to 9PM IST everyday.
