User :   Is there a lung specialist there? I cut hardibacker board with circular saw inside without any mask or protection. Hardiboard contains up to 30% silica. It was two different days I cut the hardie backer board for tile. I cut it indoors with no mask. Each time for about two hours. There was a cloud of dust both times and I definitley breathed it for the four hours. Am I a candidate for silicosis now? Please let me know what you think?
Doctor :   hello

User :   ?
Doctor :   i can only tell you within my expertise
User :   so what do you think?
Doctor :   well for silicosis to develop you do need a longer exposure
User :   do you think i will ever have complications from this in my future?
Doctor :   2 - 3 days of exposure can cause lung infection and uneasiness and can make you prone to infections
Doctor :   also it depends on the amount you were exposed to
User :   but can 2-3 days manifest silicosis in the future?
Doctor :   are you having any symptoms at the moment ?
Doctor :   no 2- 3 days will not cause silicosis
User :   No, it happened about 2 wks ago. I do have a slight cough, but I can take deep breaths without problem.

User :   I have no fluid in the lungs and I can take deep breaths without problem.
