Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   i have some particular queries on hiv/std tranmission
User :   here is my story......
Doctor :   Proceed.
User :   i visited a strip club in USA from oct last week to dec first week..... 1-2 times a week and 1-2 dances in each visit
User :   previously i dint know about if vaginal fluids and semen also transmits the hiv i am really scared on this
User :   while having lap dances....i scared to find that there may be hiv transmission thro my shaved cuts on face, when i am rubbing my face on girls neck, body and butts and thigh which may contacins traces of her vaginal fluids
User :   these cuts are only 4-5 hours older
User :   but not more than 3-4 millimeter across
User :   this is really scarring me beacuse in the 5-10 mins dance i was keep rubbing my face on her butts and thighs where her vaginal fluids may exists
Doctor :   Let me explain you.
Doctor :   Yes, theoretically, HIV can be present in all body fluids, including, saliva, sweat, tears, semen, blood, blood products, vaginal secretions and even breast milk.
Doctor :   But the rate of transmission from each secretions are different.
Doctor :   Based on prior research findings, it has been determined that, HIV transmission rates are the most during the following acts
Doctor :   1. Sexual intercourse (unprotected anal intercourse, vaginal intercourse)
Doctor :   2. If there is transfer of blood products like in blood transfusion, sharing needles by drug abusers.
Doctor :   3. Mother to child transmission.
User :   so what is the chances in my case?
Doctor :   These are the most common modes of transmission.
Doctor :   There has not been a single report of HIV infection through other modes/routes.
User :   cuts dont transmits hiv infection?
Doctor :   Cuts where wound is not exposed and not large enough, have not transmitted an HIV infection.
Doctor :   HIV infection would be possible, if any of the secretions(good amount) has gone deep inside into the blood vessels, which isn't possible from an 4-6hours old small cuts.
User :   you mean if a single hiv cell enter the blood will not infects hiv?
Doctor :   Hence based on what you describe, you are unlikely to have been infected.
Doctor :   HIV infection will occur, if a good volume of infected fluid enters deep into your body.
Doctor :   The virus isn't capable of entering small wound which is well covered by skin.
User :   you mean if a single hiv cell enter the blood will not infects hiv? ....this is greatly scarring me
Doctor :   Let me explain you.
User :   so it needs enough of those hiv cells for hiv trnsmission?
Doctor :   If your partner is infected, the secretions that come out will contain plenty of HIV cells and not single cell
Doctor :   Second, a minimum number of HIV virus is needed to cause infection, as explained to you by the previous doctor.
Doctor :   3. HIV can spread when its deposited deep and not through well covered cuts.
User :   oh k
User :   possible infection thro eyes and nose?
User :   where i rubbed my eyes with my finger after the lap dance ..... i might have touched those fluids
Doctor :   Like mentioned earlier,
Doctor :   there has no reports of infection through other routes except for the ones mentioned earlier.
User :   oh k
User :   yesterday only i saw 2-3 small bumps on my right ear edge
User :   compared to yesterday its less in size now
Doctor :   Ok
User :   this was happenned to me in past
User :   now the new one is shows any symtoms of hiv?
User :   the zise is very small...... much smaller than a pea
User :   *size
Doctor :   Without a physical examination, i cannot know the reason for this pea size bump,
Doctor :   hence I really can't comment on that.
User :   oh k
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
