User :   quick question about hematuria and pain during after urination
Doctor :hi
User :   hi.... I think I have spoken to you before
User :   about Renal colic since october
Doctor :   Yes, we have spoken before
User :   I got an ultrasound and the doctor says the stones have broken up and he can't explain the pain........
User :   He currently doesn't see anything in the ultrasound
Doctor :   ok,
Doctor :   Have you got the urine culture sensitivity test?
User :   for infection?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   it was negative
Doctor :   its common with broken stones
Doctor :   May i know what test was done exactly and when ?
User :   is it possible that he didn't see the pieces during the ultrasound? the test was done two weeks ago I just got the results 3 days ago....but the pain is back.... the doctor is talking nerve damage causing the pain...which has nothing to do with renal colic and that is exactly what the pain feels like in my flanks and in my groin and lower abdomen\
Doctor :   no , i do not think of any nerve injury here
User :   he put me on a drug for that but it is not helping....lyrica
Doctor :   did you get lithotripsy done ?
User :   no the stones broke up on there own apparently
Doctor :   Ok, which is not always expected to happen ?
Doctor :   any evidence to proove the stones are broken ?
User :   just the ultrasound images
User :   ?
Doctor :   i would advice you to get a repeat culture sensitivity test for the bacteria
User :   ok....would that cause the pain?
Doctor :   the constant pain you have could be probably due to chronic longstanding infection
User :   could the stones have been missed in the ultrasound? as I have not passed anything that I know of
User :   ?
Doctor :   yes, they can be missed
Doctor :   they could be lodged in the bladder which are hard to find
User :   but most of the pain is in my back right now....on either side
User :   right where the kidneys are
Doctor :   yes, any problem in the kidney do present with pain in back than in front a its a retroperitonial structure
User :   sorry what?
Doctor :   the kidney pain is always felt at the back , and commonly such pains are due to inflammation in the kidney due to infections
User :   I see...ok...and the pain down in the groin also?
Doctor :   its referred pain . could be due to kidney again
User :   from an infection?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   and the blood in the uring
User :   urine?
User :   Thanks again for the info.....
User :   My time is up here...
User :   Have a good night
