Doctor :   Hi,
User :   hello
Doctor :   How can i help you ?
User :   About 3 and half months ago I had sex without a condom - I had some vaginal irritation shortly after and was treated for a yeast infection - I was also had a GC (i think is what she said) and Chlamydia test done and they came back negative. A few days ago - I notice a bump under the skin of my labia majora - it was like a hard pimple that you get - I have had these before tried to pop them and only made it sore and bigger feeling. Anyways - I noticed that last Thursday I had gone back to wearing my thong underwear and as the day progressed it felt as if the bump was getting bigger due to the friction of my underwear. I used astringent and tea tree oil on it and treated it like a pimple. Today the swelling in it is way down - you can feel it when you run your finger across it - it is not hard on the surface and is not an open sore - I was originally thinking it was an ingrown hair (I get brazilian waxing done) or a sebaceous cyst. I did not notice anything on my partner nor has he expressed any concern about anything going on - just wanting to rule out a chancre. Would a chancre appear as a large bump and then a few days later be extremely minimal in size??? Like I said not an open sore
Doctor :   Let me read your query for few minutes to be able to have a good discussion here.

User :   Oh and it did not ever get a head on it - the ones I have had before usually don't
Doctor :   ok , i think you had folliculitis
Doctor :   that is how they present
User :   A chancre wouldn't go down that quick would it - or does it not even present itself as a bump under the skin???
Doctor :   Chancre are ones which present with immediate soreness
User :   so it would be an open sore immediately??
Doctor :   yes, the chancre do present the same way but do not regress until treated
Doctor :   yes, within days
User :   okay - just worried and i no that undue stress can cause issue with your body as well- I have also started exhibiting some signs of perimenoupause(43 years old) and actually not long ago felt as if my uterus was trying to prolapse (I have a tilted uterus anyways) and I had some extra discharge could that had help the folliculitis from occuring?
User :   oops I meant to type "know" not no - LOL
Doctor :   i got it
Doctor :   yes, the hormone levels which are waning during primenopause are also responsible for such risk for folliculitis
User :   okay - can you recommend any otc med for hot flashes??? I had one again last night and it woke me and I had difficulty going back to sleep after
Doctor :   I am sorry ,none of the medicine which will help flushes are OTC
User :   okay - doc appt. -LOL any recommendations for the folliculitis?? I am wearing cotton panties and no pantyliner today - I had a pantyliner the day it seemed to be growing from friction
Doctor :   yes, proceed with the cotton ones
User :   thank you so much!
Doctor :   and continue applying tes tree oil
Doctor :   Tea*
Doctor :   it will help
User :   got it! no astringent?? It kind of burns a little when I put it on there
User :   I was guessing that was the alcohol in it
Doctor :   yes, avoid astringent
User :   it got me a little worried because this morning I put some on there and looked at it and it seemed to react as hydrogen peroxide would
Doctor :   No , H2O2 would have reacted with the secretion over the vulva but not the lesion
User :   so that was normal with the astringent?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   thank you!! you have been a relief
Doctor :   You are welcome
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
User :   absolutelyty
Doctor :   Bye for now
Doctor :   take care
