User :   my 19 year old son had an oily orange substance floating on top of the water in the toilet bowel after bowel movement. His diet has been the same only he said 3 days ago he ate about a half box of sugar coated mine wheats ceral. any idea what we should do. he feels fine

Doctor :   Does he have any symptoms now ?
User :   He said the stool looked fairly regular
User :   No symtoms
Doctor :   is he having any medications ?
User :   He said it acctually started as he passed gas
User :   No meds
User :   He said it looked like orange oil drops. did not mix in with the water
Doctor :   i would just relax and wait and observe the stools for few more days
User :   Thats what I thought. The body does't produce any thing like that so it must be something that didnt digest

Doctor :   since he does not have any other symptoms, u can just watch for them

Doctor :   and in case symptoms like pain, diarhea, nausea etc develops u can get some basic stoole xamination and Physical Exam by his GP done
