User :   hello doctor will u please read this querry
User :   ok
Doctor :
Is the sperm only 1 ml taken
User :   yes
User :   the quantity Shows 1.0 ml
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
I think the report is very fine
User :   i got married last year in dec n still my wife coudnt conceive
Doctor :   Did you wait for 3 days
User :   no
Doctor :
before you took
Doctor :
the test
User :   wait for what?
User :   i had intercourse yesterday in the morning and went for the test in the morning
User :   today
Doctor :   Look
Doctor :   for a semen analysis, a fresh semen sample, not more than half an hour old is needed,
after sexual abstinence for at least 3 to 4 days. The man masturbates into a clean, wide mouthed bottle which is then delivered to the laboratory.
User :   yes it was not half an hour late
User :   wait
Doctor :   but you had intercourse the previous night
User :   that means according to you i need to wait for 3 days and again go for another test.
Doctor :
that is the reason the sample had less seminal fluid
Doctor :
of only 1 ml
User :   does this matter really
User :   no actually what happened in the morning
Doctor :
I think that is fine with you
Doctor :
You should not really worry
User :   when i took the sample in the clean bottle and went to laboratory i saw i got leaked from the bottle because of loosen cap
Doctor :   What is mentioned to you was an Ideal scenario
User :   i told the lab assistance if i cud come again but he said the sample is enough to test results
User :   so i dint bother
Doctor :   so it would have been good if you did that

Doctor :   Do not bother
Doctor :
and please rely on the information given by a Doctor and not the lab tech
User :   so at last what would you suggest
Doctor :
He does not know the importacne of it
Doctor :
I opine that the semen analysis is fine
Doctor :
and it has no abnormality
User :   ok
Doctor :
You may take a second opinion from the infertility specialist how to proceed
User :   so i need to take my wife to the doctor for the further examination.....as my role end @ this point
Doctor :   When was your marriage?

Doctor :
and since when were you having unprotected intercourse
User :   is this the reason why my wife cudnt conceive because he just gets up instantly from the bed to clean herself after the intercourse
User :   it was on 1 dec 2009
Doctor :
unprotected intercourse?
User :   yes
Doctor :
SInce Dec 1st
User :   but first 6 months i prevented my self to ejeculate her inside cuz we dint want child at th8 time
User :   yes....we never used anycontraception
Doctor :   You should be concerned when you do not conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse
Doctor :
or one year since you started planning for it
User :   it has been 6 months when we started planning.....
User :   there is nothing seems wrong with her periods as well...
Doctor :
so you can wait
User :   some time it gets delayed for +1/2 days....that's it
Doctor :
No problem then
Doctor :
Do not worry
User :   ok
Doctor :
if you do not conceive in next 6 months
Doctor :
you can then go for further testing
Doctor :
Remember few things
User :   do i need to take her to doctor or we should wait lil more?
Doctor :
here
Doctor :
1) Unprotected intercourse during the middle days of her period
Doctor :
2) Ask her to lift her hips after you ejaculate in her before getting up
Doctor :
3) Do not use any spermicidal agents
Doctor :
4) Ask her to take Folic acid supplements 400 micrograms
Doctor :
per day
Doctor :
once a day
Doctor :
Let me elaborate on the first point
User :   ok
Doctor :
If she has period on Feb 1st and then on Feb 28th
Doctor :
you guys have to mate daily from Feb 11th to Feb 18th
Doctor :
the rates of success is high in these days
User :   her periods come on 24 of every month
Doctor :   so she releases the egg on 7th to 9th of every month
Doctor :
so you have to mate from 4th to 11th of every month
User :   ok
Doctor :
Do not worr
Doctor :
be confident and you can produce a child soon
Doctor :
YOur semen analysis is good enough
User :   yes i will....lol
Doctor :
and your wife is having regular periods
Doctor :
she should be ovulating properly
User :   will u elaborate the 2nd point lifting hips
Doctor :
after you release the semen in her vagina
Doctor :
it takes some time for the sperm to swim and get into the Uterus so ask her to put the pillow under the hip
Doctor :
for 10 minutes
User :   ok
Doctor :
though your sperm has good motility and liquefaction
