User :   Hi i went to the doctors the other day because all of a sudden monday i got a stiff neck tuesday was just stiff neck wednesay was body ache + indigestion. The body ache and stiff neck went away but i still have indegestion. I told my doctor that i was worried about lymphoma she checked my lymph nodes inneck and shoulder and said none were swollen she then checked my ears and said there was fluid in them. she diagnosed me with a cold maybe sinus cold with anxiety. is he right should i not be do worried? i seem to be thinking about it 24/7.
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   let me read your query
User :   Ok
Doctor :   may i know your age ?
User :   18
Doctor :   Did she check out your neck and your arm pits ?
Doctor :   Do u find any lymph nodes or any swellings in there ?
User :   she didnt check my armpits but she did check my neck
Doctor :   ok
User :   she said there was nothing
Doctor :   did u find any nodes in the armpits by yourself ? or can u feel them there ?
User :   i dont think i feel any but agian i dont know what im looking for
Doctor :   In case , you cannot feel anything, there is nothing to be worried about lymphomas or anything serious
Doctor :   usually with lymphoma , you will have large nodes all over the body, neck, armpits, and weight loss, drenching sweating, high grade fever, etc
Doctor :   are u there ?
User :   yes
Doctor :   so i do not think there is anything to be worried about
User :   she said there was none in my neck and shoulder so she said it is anxiety
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   has all your symptoms reduced now ?
User :   my aching yes my neck yes
User :   however i still have indegestion
Doctor :   that is fine , and nothing related to lymphoma
Doctor :   for your indigestion, you can take some tums and some probiotics to improve digestion
Doctor :   do u have any bloating ?
User :   im just gasy and i feel full but that has gone down some since wednesday
Doctor :   'In that case, take activated charcoal 500 mg tablets, twice daily
Doctor :   this will reduce the gas, and blown up feeling
User :   could my "anxiety" cause me to have indigestion?
Doctor :   try to have good dietary and eating habits
Doctor :   yes , when u are anxious, you tend to eat abnormally and in a hurry
Doctor :   so this can cause indigestion
User :   Ok. What are some good ways of relaxing so i can get better my anxiety is driving me crazy it makes me think about it non stop
Doctor :   deep breathing techniques will be helpful
Doctor :   try sleeping on the bed, and just concentrate with taking deep breath in and slow exhalation
Doctor :   try about 15-10 cycles at a stretch
User :   ok
Doctor :   at the end of the cycle you will feel relaxed
Doctor :   and calm
User :   that would be great. hehe. so far its like the sickness is all i can think about
Doctor :   in addition close your eyes and sit in a calm room , and do the same breathing technique
Doctor :   this will be helpful too
User :   Ok
User :   thank you very much. I'll defiently try out those techniques
Doctor :   you are most welcome
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me here
User :   i feel better by getting a second opinion just to make sure she didnt miss nything
Doctor :   that is always good to clear your mind of any doubts
User :   ok that is all that i was worried about thanks for the help and have a nice day!
