User:was blessed with baby boy last month
User:my baby is a premature baby
User:i noticed that he shivers sometimes is this normal or some concern
Doctor:May I know what you meant by premature baby?
Doctor:Do you mean preterm baby?
User:he was born in 7th month
Doctor:Shivering can be a normal or abnormal phenomena.
User:he just shakes for 2-3 seconds
Doctor:If there are no other symptoms before, after and during the shivering and if he is growing / developing well, I think this could be a normal.
User:he shakes his legs and arms
Doctor:There is an entity called myotonic clonus which is normal in baby.
Doctor:This an benign condition where there is involuntary spasms or rather one or two jerks of the body.
Doctor:It is seen predominantly in young children.
Doctor:It doesn't cause any problems and as the baby grows
Doctor:the number and frequency of such jerks disappear.
Doctor:I am not sure, if what you describe is one such myotonic clonus.
Doctor:What I suggest to you is take a video recording of such movements if possible using your phone or other recording apparatus
