User:Hi Doctor
Doctor:Good Evening
Doctor:I am Dr. XXXXXXX
User:Good Evening. I have a quick question to be clarified.
User:This is for my wife who is on her 26th week pregnancy
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:over the last couple of week, she has been coughing continuously...
User:the OB had prescribed here Deletus and after a week Benadryl to control the cough...
User:but its all of no use...she is still coughing and I'm very much worried, as I dont want to take any over-the-counter medication...
Doctor:Is she having fever?
User:no fever
Doctor:Is the cough happening with phlegm?
User:no. just dry coughs...
Doctor:Is she on any other medications?
User:yes - she is currently on Iron, Calcium and multi-vitamin supplements
Doctor:I do not think that she would require any antibiotics.
Doctor:She may require to change the medication for cough.
Doctor:Along with it, make sure that the room she sleeps in is well ventilated.
Doctor:Also avoid any dust or smoke inside the room.
User:ok sure
Doctor:I think that should solve the problem.
Doctor:For change in medication, please do revisit your Obstetrician again.
User:do you prescribe any medicine which can control these dry coughs?
Doctor:Surely I could have prescribed them, if I had examined her personally.
Doctor:because it is unethical to prescribe without examining.
User:because, when we chcked with her OB the 2nd time, she mentioned if Benadryl doesnt work, take a consultationw with a physician for the medication.
Doctor:In that case, you should be visiting a physician.
User:ok, sure thing.
User:Thanks for the suggestions.
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:Do you have any other queries?
User:nothing. I appreciate your assistance.
Doctor:Thank you for consulting me.
User:Have a good evening. Bye.
Doctor:have a Nice Evening!!
Doctor:Bye for now.
