Doctor:How can I help you?
User:i am 17.5 week pregnant.
User:initially in my ultrasound report placenta was low lying reaching upto os
User:now placenta is anterior
User:is it ok
Doctor:Placenta grows higher as pregnancy progress.
Doctor:To comment further, I would like to know when was the last ultrasound scan done?
User:20 august
Doctor:May I know why was this scan planned now? Did you have any symptoms?
User:doctor recommended level II scan
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:Level 2 scan also known as anomaly scan is usually requested at 18 to 22 weeks. Most doctors prefer this scan at 20 weeks. So I was little interested to know why the scan was done 2 weeks earlier.
Doctor:Any way, let me answer your question.
Doctor:Placenta is positioned lower down during first few weeks of pregnancy.
Doctor:It starts to rise up into the upper segment as pregnancy grows.
Doctor:The level of attachment at this point of time is more important to us than what was recorded during the first scan.
Doctor:Placenta attached to the upper segment and anteriorly placed is a good sign.
Doctor:You need not be worried.
Doctor:Have you followed?
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:in previous weeks there is small subchorion collection.
User:do we start exercise now?
Doctor:Did the sonologist record similar collection now?
User:not mentioned in report
Doctor:That's good. The collection was benign and has resolved.
Doctor:Exercise is usually recommended in the late pregnancy.
Doctor:You can do your regular activities.
User:in which month or week
Doctor:Specific pelvic exercise can be started by around 30 weeks.
Doctor:You can follow up with your obstetrician.
Doctor:She can decide when is the apt time to start pelvic exercise.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:thank you
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
