User :   my lmp was 02/22. I went into the doctor on 03/15 and the ultrasound showed two gestational sacs.. measured 6.5cm. No baby or yolk sac was visible. The ultrasound said I was at 5 wks 1 day. They did a hcg blood test and it came back in the 1200 range. Then two days later I had another hcg blood test and it came back in the 1550 range. They say the pregnancy is probably over.. I have another ultrasound on friday (tomorrow). please tell me what is going on? I am 37 years old..
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   The hcg levels are an indirect indicators.
User :   so do you think things might be ok?
Doctor :
Did you have any bleeding per vagina following the lmp?
User :   no.. none at all.
Doctor :
Since the HCG test can produce false reports, I would advice you to not get disheartened.
Doctor :
I suggest you to get the ultrasound test done to confirm every thing is fine.
User :   thank you.. should I expect the ultrasound tomorrow to show anything?
Doctor :   I cannot predict what the result going to be tomorrow, but expect it to be normal.
Doctor :
The reports tomorrow will make thing clear.
User :   oh that would be such a welcome miracle.
Doctor :
Have you followed?
