Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello
Doctor :   I am Dr. XXX
User :   I think I need to talk with a pediatrician
User :   This has to do with potty training
Doctor :   Actually I am a General Practitioner, I think I can help you with the queries
Doctor :   If req, I shall refer to a Pediatrician here
User :   ok. well my daughter is 2 years and 8 months I've been trying to train her for about 6 months. she will go on the potty to pee if I put her on it. If not she goes in her diaper, on the floor in her underwear. she hardly ever poos on the potty. How do I get her to realize that she has to go BEFORE she goes not AFTER the fact. she never tells me that she needs to use the potty. She will tell me when she has already peed. Is there something wrong with her?
Doctor :   I think you would have realized that potty training need patience
Doctor :   During the potty training, you have follow the schedules
Doctor :   Say, once in 4 hours, whether she passes or not
Doctor :   you have to take her to the rest room
Doctor :   This senses her that, ok this is to be done at this place
Doctor :   Initial days you cannot really predict the time
Doctor :   Unusual cries, abnormal sounds
Doctor :   Trying to seek the attention of the mother are the common signs
User :   I don't understand what you mean by once in 4 hours? I take her to the potty every hour or two and this has been going on for months. You would think by now she would realize it before she has to go.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   If this problem is going on for months and still she is not able to communicate
Doctor :   I have few more questions for you
Doctor :   Is the consistency of the stool normal?
User :   She is an extremely intelligent child. She speaks in full sentences and so clearly that everyne can understand her. she knows all her colours and shapes and can count to 10. She is friendly and affectionate. She is seeing a pediatricain regarding her bowel issues as she is constipated but I would think that has nothing to do with the peeing. At this point I would like to get her pee trained and will worry about the stool training later.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   at this time, she might not be able to hold the urine
Doctor :   because of excessive water, did you try to restrict that?
Doctor :   Did you restrict carbonated drinks
Doctor :   Hello are you with me?
