Possibility of pregnancy with one blocked fallopian tube? - Online Doctor Chats
I understand that You would like to discuss about conceiving while having one fallopian tube blocked
I wanna know how to get pregnant havng one blocked fallopian tube
is it possible to conceive
for natural conception (that is where you don't take any medical help or assistance to get pregnant..... You don't need to do anything
yes it is possible to conceive
but the chances will be half of what a normal female would have
but how and how much time it will take
If you are taking medical help, the chances of conception go up
We can never predict the exact time of conception
plz. tell the procedure.
Even a perfectly healthy couple only have a 37% chance of conception in each menstrual cycle
is dnc required in this case
What kind of procedure are you looking for?
D&C is done only if there is any endometrial pathology
any medicine or any surgery required..As egg formation is ok.
A blocked fallopian tube is a complex problem
only one tube is blocked..
it is not so easy to treat the issue, because even after surgery the chances of that tube getting blocked again are very high
I can understand that only a single fallopian tube is blocked
suggest a proper solution
in this type of situation, it is difficult to tell you exactly what the out come will be
hcg already done
I regret to say this, but you are just jumping from one thing to another and you are not in a mood to understand the issue
Your problem is not that easy to solve
and I am extremely sorry I can not provide a solution to your problem in a chat
It is just too complicated
ok. is ther no any medicine to cure this
If you wish to know, I can tell you what all options you have
based on that You can chose what is best for you
first and foremost
You need a complete evaluation,
by complete evaluation I mean, why did the tube get blocked?
is there any medically treatable reason for this blockage?
these two questions have to be answered before we can go any further with your treatment options
ok.thnks.for ur advice..
So once these conditions are ruled out by appropriate tests
you can go ahead with treating them as per your reports
as we have consulted doctors, hcg tst done, report shows normal. tuberculosis was not the issue as said by doctor.
If these all tests come negative, then you will have to think about unknown causes for tube blockage and then consider repair of the tube, this is a surgical procedure which requires extreme care and high level of expertise
The surgery may not be a success always
is it risky
the surgery is not a risky one, but it requires experience because the tube is very small
is it be done through laproscopy
No, there is no point of doing such a surgery by laparoscopy
it is a very delicate surgery
In all such surgeries we would need very good view and easy handling of the tissue because what ever we do should be very precise and accuarate
So it will be an open surgery
thanks 4 ur valuable advice
You have to discuss with an infertility specialist in detail about all the options you have to become pregnant
You are welcome
please consult an infertility specialist and discuss face to face
only then you will understand it clearly
Is there anything else you want to ask me?
one more issue about tuberculosis
please go ahead
this issue was of my bhavi
presently no any serious symptoms of tb seen.. and doctors give medicine to continue
what r the other tests so that it can be detected in proper way
The tests are, PCR for TB DNA,
Sputum AFB staining
CT scan of the chest
CT scan of abdomen
All these are not necessary and even if one is conclusively positive for TB, the she has to take medicines for a minimum of 6 months
Tissue biopsy is very good for knowing if there is TB
But if CT scan is done, then there is no need for that, as taking a course of medicines for 6 months will completely cure her from TB
is it harmful if medicine to be continued without proper diagnosis
how much approx
of course it is bad to take medicines without a correct diagnosis, but in India most of the problems are due to TB and TB is very wide spread,
it is very common to get TB in India
I am really not sure how much it will cost, but I guess it will be around 15 to 20 thousand rupees
is medicine to be continued 4 six monts. but doctors advice for two months only
There are two stages of TB treatment
First stage is for 2 months, followed by second stage that is for 4 months
If your doctors are advising only 2 months, then I suggest you go to your nearest government hospital to continue the treatment
ok. by doing PCR whethr we can get proper result
YES, PCR is 100 percent accurate and 100 percent reliable
why u say to govt. hospital..
Govt hospitals will give the medicine for free
do you think we cant afford
and also government hospital doctors will be knowing the latest recommendations about TB treatment as per RNTCP guidelines
It is not about affordability
I don't like the way
Government hospital is not only for patients who can not afford, TB is a notifiable disease, and any new case must be reported to the government
ok. but I don't wanna to get it be publicity to govt.
I know what you mean, the choice is yours, and government hospital will not send the personal details to the government... anyway I feel you it is best left at this
is there anything else you wish to discuss?
are you there?
Since you have not responded I am forced to close this chat.
