Doctor :   HI
User :   Hi. I have a question about possible pregnancy. I am on birth control but I had missed one day last month while I was sexually active. I took the last placebo on Saturday and I always get my period on the last day of the placebo but I didn't get it this time. I did have some light bleeding that started yesterday but it's very light. I am just using a light pad and even then it's not that much for a light pad. I'm not sure it that's norXXXXXXXX or if I should be worried. I took a first response test and it came out negative but I heard those test aren't 100%. I am due for my pap on the 18th so I was going to wait to go to the doctor but I just need some reassurance. Thanks for you help.
Doctor :
How can i help you?
Doctor :
Let me read through.
User :   Ok. Sorry i already had my question ready. Thanks for you help.
Doctor :
Were your periods regular before?
User :   yes, they are always regular and not heavy but like in the middle. they have never been light.
Doctor :   Oral pills can some time fail in preventing pregnancy.
Doctor :
And sometime you may have false report with a pregnancy test especially when you are on oral pills.
Doctor :
Hence there are possibilities of pregnancy.
Doctor :
I woul recomment you to get a serum HCG levels done.
User :   do you recommend i stop the pills?
Doctor :
Or an vaginal ultrasound done.
Doctor :
to rule out the pregnancy.

Doctor :   Have you followed what i had suggested?
User :   yes. i was cut off from the chat.
Doctor :   Let me repeat it.
Doctor :   Decreased menstrual bleeding is a sign of pregnancy.
User :   i had a question about the serum you suggested.what exactly is that?
Doctor :
Yes.
Doctor :
It is a blood test which can detect the chances of pregnancy.
User :   oh ok. thank you. i think i will mention that to my doctor.
Doctor :
The vaginal ultrasound is the specific test that can completely rule out pregnancy.
Doctor :
If the ultra sound comes out negative then you are not pregnant.
Doctor :
The other cause for the problem could be stress, improper food habbits and XXXXXXXX nutrition.
Doctor :
Have you followed?
User :   yes. thank you.
Doctor :
Do you have any other query?
User :   i do one question. is it true that the best time to take a pregnancy test is the first thing in the morning after you wake up?
User :   i have heard that one a lot.
Doctor :
The time of the test is unrelated to the out come of the test, but
Doctor :
the levels of the hcg levels are slightly higher early in the morning.
Doctor :
Hence the out come of the tests are more positive in the mornings.
Doctor :
Have you followed?
User :   yes.
User :   thank you again.
Doctor :
Do you have any other query?
User :   no thats all.
Doctor :
