User :   I have a strange hard bump under my skin, relatively large to the left and a bit down from my belly button, before my hip. Wondering what your take on this is, it's been there for a few months.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Dr ccccc here
User :   Hey there!
Doctor :   Let me read your query
User :   Thanks for taking the time.
User :   Sure np, it's not visible from the outside but I can feel it if I push on it.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   It doesn't bother me normally, unless I push on it in which case it feels a little strange for a minute or two.
Doctor :   Is the lump movable freely over the skin?
User :   no, it feels like its almost like an organ or a bunch of stool hardened in my intestinal tract
User :   something of that sort
Doctor :   Can you specify the colur
User :   no coloration
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   i have to ask you few more questions to help you better
User :   but it does feel "lumpy"
Doctor :   Do you feel the size of bump increasing with exertion/ cough
Doctor :   There are just two probable causes for lump in the lower abdomen
User :   Somewhat, I guess (nothing noticable day-to-day)
Doctor :   1. hernia
Doctor :   2. lipoma
User :   are they serious?
Doctor :   3. intestinal diverticulus (very rare)
User :   because it has been there for months now (i am only 22)
User :   it hasn't bothered me
Doctor :   Are you an athelete?
Doctor :   Are do you work out heavy weights in the gym
User :   no definitely not, i am the opposite
User :   computer programmer, i stay at home generally
Doctor :   Ok
User :   don't do anything physical almost at all
Doctor :   Are you a little overweight?
Doctor :   Then the most probable cause could be hernia
Doctor :   The reason why i fell sois
Doctor :   1. the lump is not movable which rules out lipoma
User :   not overweight at all, in fact very skinny
User :   only 125lbs
Doctor :   2 you find some kind of increase in size with exertion
Doctor :   Ok
User :   right, yeah it is movable (to an extent)
Doctor :   3. the lump doesnt cause any pain
User :   no pain, but i do feel it
Doctor :   These are features more suggestive of hernia
User :   just not painful and i can't feel it unless i move it
User :   hehe, would a hernia be serious?
Doctor :   No not at all
Doctor :   its very easily corrected as considering your age will be successful too
Doctor :   The reason for hernia is weakining of the abdominal walls
Doctor :   Thus leading to prtrusion of the abdominal contents
User :   very interesting, what do you recommend i do?
Doctor :   This is corrected by placing a mesh inbetween the wall and the matter
Doctor :   I would rather advise you to get examined by a surgeon
Doctor :   Because physical examination will confirm the findings and guide better
User :   right
Doctor :   As being a online consulktation I cant confirm the diagnosis
User :   understood, but definitely not life-threatening or anything like that, correct (sorry, i am very paranoid when it comes to my health)
Doctor :   Its not life threathning
Doctor :   Its rather a simple surgery
User :   amazing, good
Doctor :   Its more common in elderly/ atheletes/ heavy weight lifters
User :   thats strange, since i dont do physical activity at all
Doctor :   The Hospitilazation will require only 5 days
User :   maybe my abdomen muscles are weakening since i dont use them?
Doctor :   It can also heridtery to have weak abdominal muscles
Doctor :   The most common region for hernia are one abdomen and the inguinal region as they already have the weakest shaeth
Doctor :   So no Defenitive etiology can be ruled out
Doctor :   Did you follow me
User :   yep
Doctor :   Is there anything else ican help you with?
User :   not really, but ill burn up my 15 minutes if you don't mind
Doctor :   Plz proceed with mediacal query
User :   will do
User :   my chest often cracks, in the center, from computer use
User :   is this normal to hear it cracking when i stretch my arms out due to the computer use?
Doctor :   I will also suggest you a link about hernia sure you will find it helpfull
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW
Doctor :   Yes obsultely
Doctor :   Its normal And do you suffer from dandruff?
User :   no dandruff as far as i know
Doctor :   oK
User :   sometimes perhaps
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   cracking is heard due to overstreching of the joints
Doctor :   Probably you do it after a long sternous work
Doctor :   Thats absolutely acceptable
Doctor :   But cracking fingers frequently is not good
Doctor :   IT will lead to weakness and later nervouness
User :   yeah, i get the nervousness very badly (already)
User :   damn, you are pretty good :)
Doctor :   Resulting in difficulties in performing skilled work
Doctor :   Dont overstrech to often
User :   it says in wiki that hernias can also be caused by tight clothing
User :   that may be a problem as well
User :   incorrect posture, tight clothing
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :   Those are more related to lifestyle but acount for very less incidence
User :   my lifestyle is pretty extremely bad, honestly, so i would not be suprised
User :   very bad lack of sleep, lots of time on the computer
Doctor :   The ultimate cause is weakness of abdominal muscles
Doctor :   So start practising healthy lifestyle
User :   if i excersize the abdominal muscles then it would get better or no?
Doctor :   Proper work ergonomics
Doctor :   They do but if there is an hernia then will require only surgical correction
Doctor :   God forbid if Hernia is present
User :   but they can get rid of it completely very easily?
Doctor :   Yes considering your age
Doctor :   And you should also adapt healthy lifestyle and moderate exercise follwing surgery to prevent recurrance
User :   i agree
User :   what would you consider "healthy"
User :   just to be clear on what i need to aim for
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me breif you
Doctor :   Moderate exercise daily/ healthy regular food habits/ free from smoking/ moderate alcohol consumption
Doctor :   Proper time for work schedule/ practise meditation/ yoga
Doctor :   Proper sleep the final one
User :   does meditation really help?
User :   also, i do smoke, about 1/2 pack a day (as i work, since i work at home)
Doctor :   Yes will reduce stress levels and improve sleep giving ample rerst tpo body
User :   i never consume alchohol
Doctor :   Thats good
Doctor :   * rest to body
User :   i just don't like it, not for me
User :   so i will read up on meditation, generally
User :   how many times do you meditate per day?
Doctor :   Yes sure will relive your stress which is more common in your profession
Doctor :   Atleast twice
User :   and for how long?
Doctor :   If time permits i do in free time too
Doctor :   Half an hour
User :   that isn't bad at all, i could easily find the time for that
User :   when you wakeup and before you sleep?
Doctor :   Yes you should and will find life energetic follwing it
Doctor :   Yes that will be apt , But you can also fix your own schedule
