Doctor:Dr XXXXXXX here
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I amxxxxxfrom XXXXXXX s/w
User:How are you ?
Doctor:I am fine, thank you.
User:I have a question
Doctor:How are you doing and do you have a medical query?
User:My wife is getting pimples in her face
User:even though we are taking some medical treatment, i can see any visible effect
Doctor:You mean there is no visible effects with her current treatment?
User:thats right
Doctor:May I know what treatment is she on currently?
User:could you please advice something on it ?
User:The doctor has prescribed her to take zincovit tablets
Doctor:Acne is a chronic condition influenced by hormones and life style.
Doctor:And hence we think of prevention or control of the condition rather than a cure here.
Doctor:Zincovit is a nutritional supplement and doesn't have any active role in controlling acne.
User:even she is using two creams
Doctor:The most important aspect is to recognize whether or not there is an infection associated with acne.
User:one is some benzo(coud not remember the exact name)
User:other is cleargel
User:and one more tablet also, which I can not remember right now
Doctor:Infected acne also referred to as pustular acne is characterized by presence of red, swollen and angry looking pimples - the size can vary from few mm to cms.
Doctor:If such lesions are present, she will need antibiotic preparations like clindamycin creams.
Doctor:if there is on such pustular lesions, benzoyl peroxide (which I presume she is currently on) can be effective.
User:I beleive she is using benoyl peroxide
Doctor:if benzoyl peroxide is not effective in your wife, alternative cream such as isotretinoin 0.025% or 0.05% cream can be tried.
Doctor:Since these creams can cause pigmentation
User:are you from xxxxxxx
Doctor:one needs to apply only a thin film and avoid sun exposure with this cream.
Doctor:No, I am based frxxxxxxxxx
User:yes, she is using it in night time before going to bed
Doctor:Many of my patients have given good reviews with this cream.
Doctor:Your wife may try this cream over the active acne lesions at night.
User:do we have any side effect if she use isotretinoin 0.025% or 0.05% along with benzoyl peroxide ?
Doctor:If this cream is not effective or if the acne is widespread, she would need oral medications under the guidance of a dermatologist.
User:yes, what we see is few acnes are big in size
Doctor:Benzoyl peroxide is a good cream for acne but if that is not effective in controlling acne, then you may stop it.
User:and the rest of the areas we can see very small acnes
Doctor:A large looking acne with pus pointing is an indication that there is some infection happening.
Doctor:Such lesions are treated with clindamycin ointments.
User:we are under treament of a dermatolosgist
Doctor:If feasible do discuss about these creams and the need for oral drugs for your wife with your dermatologist.
User:Could you advice me any good dermatologist here in xxxxxxxxx
Doctor:Oral medications are better effective than topical creams alone.
Doctor:As I do not have any personal reference would you mind I taking help of some of my colleagues.
Doctor:I can post the details about good dermatologist in a mail to you.
User:sure ...thanks a lot sir
User:and one more thing,if you have some time
Doctor:You would get this mail from the customer support team to your email address.
Doctor:Can you confirm your email id?
Doctor:Thank you.
Doctor:Proceed with your next query.

Doctor:Can you scale the intensity of pain from 1 - 10 (1 being mild and 10 being most serious)
Doctor:Do you smoke or consume alcohol?
User:not at all
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:Leg or calf pain are usually muscular aches.
Doctor:However a few medical conditions such as vascular insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis / emboli also present with such calf pain.
Doctor:These few medical conditions are serious pathologies which needs urgent medical attention.
Doctor:Based on your description, I do not find any such serious problems or any other serious medical problem to be the cause of your pain.
Doctor:The pain probably a muscular ache - related to exertion and you need not worry.
User:do you advice any medication for me ?
Doctor:Gastritis once in a while is fine and this is usually related to lack of sleep or diet.
Doctor:Antacid and nexpro which you are taking is fine.
Doctor:For this leg pain, I suggest you a mild pain reliever such as Tab. Dolo or crocin pain relief.
Doctor:In addition to warm compresses / diclogesic spray on the affected part
Doctor:This should take care of the pain.
Doctor:I also suggest that you take good rest and diet supplemented with vitamin B12 capsules such as Unicobal forte for 2-4 weeks.
Doctor:That should be ok.
Doctor:If the pain symptoms are very frequent and recurring
Doctor:you may need to check your thyroid hormones to make sure it isn't related to hypothyroidism.
Doctor:Have you followed>
Doctor:Have you followed what I suggested?
User:Thyroid hermones is anything related to throat infection ?
Doctor:Low thyroid hormone is rare cause of recurrent calf pain.
User:because I usually find myself throat infection very easily in case of viral cold
User:How can I get it checked ?
Doctor:I do not think this as a primary cause since your problem is not very frequent.
Doctor:It can be checked by a simple blood test called thyroid profile .
Doctor:It contains Serum TSH levels and Serum T3 / T4 levels.
User:so do you advice me to go to any diagnosticts cnter and get my blood tested ?
Doctor:You may check to rule out thyroid problems. then to whom I need to contact to verify the report ?
User:can I take your help or I need to go to any physician ?
Doctor:If you get the tests done, you may refer back to us and we can tell you if there is something to worry.
User:thanks Dr. XXXXXXX
User:But next time, I may not find you online
