Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
how can i help you?
User :   I recently noticed that I had what looked to be a pimple on the inside of my Labium Minora. There was some discomfort as far as wondering if I had a cut there or not (which made me look). When I stretched the labium a little bit it burst like a pimple. There was no pain, no bleeding just puss like a pimple. I cleaned the area and am a little worried if it may become infected since it is a sensitive area. Should I worry?
Doctor :
yes
Doctor :
i would suggest you to get a examination done
Doctor :
as early a spossible
Doctor :
to rule out other complications
Doctor :
and get treatment for any infection if present
User :   is there medication that should be taking for this or what will happen
Doctor :
you have to take antibiotics
Doctor :
and that can be decided after examinationand may be possible tests to prescribe appropriate antibiotic to you
Doctor :
since i have not examined you personally, i cannot prescribe you antibiotic, it will be unethical
User :   okay now I'm really worried. Since I am traveling and away from my regular doctor.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
that is not a problem
Doctor :
you can go to any gynacologist at the moment
Doctor :
and latter follow up with your doctor
User :   yes this is true
Doctor :
such that you can get immediate traetment
Doctor :
as the genital area is very sensitive for women, and very easy for infection to travel up to uterus, bladder and kidney
User :   right. this is the first time ive ever seen anything like this so i'm really surprised. How do these occur?
Doctor :
these can occur with local infection
Doctor :
or infection of the hair follicles
Doctor :
or infection of something called as bartholins glands
User :   bartholins?
Doctor :   this is the name of a gland that secretes lubrication fluid in females during intercourse
User :   well I havent had intercourse for sometime, I am a widow so I can vouch for that
Doctor :
it is not necessary to have intercouse for the gland to secrete, even with sexual arrousal it can happen, and the blockage of this gland duct will cause this
Doctor :
is there anything else i can help you with?
User :   what can i do in the mean time before I consult w/a physican for an exam
Doctor :   you should maintain cleanliness, wash the area with soap, and keep it dry
Doctor :
as any moisture will be leading to spread of infection
Doctor :   use an antiseptic lotion like savlon or betadine in dilution to wash the area
Doctor :   this will also control infection
Doctor :
but try to meet a physician and get examination done and start antibiotic at the earliest to avoid further complications
Doctor :   are you there?
Doctor :
are you there?
User :   yes I am I was just taking notes
User :   the only antiseptic lotion I have is neosporean
Doctor :
you can use that for the timebeing, but Betadine lotion will be better, as it covers more organisms than neosporin
Doctor :
is there anything else i can help you with?
User :   no, thank you. I'm more informed then I was a minute ago
Doctor :   you can have the chat history
Doctor :
all you need to do is go to accounts and settings page
Doctor :
click on chat history
