Doctor:I am Dr xxxxxxxxxxx
User:I am having a mouth ulcer for some time which is not healing
User:I have not taken any medication yet
User:Wanted to check if there is any medication for this
Doctor:Generally mouth ulcer heals within a week
User:This has taken long
User:its been around 15-20 days
Doctor:If it does not heal there should be some factors that interfers it
User:okay, what should I do about it
Doctor:like Sharp/jagged teeth, infection, smoke
User:yes, I do smoke occasionally
User:the ulcer is below the teeth, on the gum
Doctor:Ok this area would not be interfered with sharp edged tooth
Doctor:Hence infection and smoke are direct factors, nutritional deficiency should be considered for those who smoke
User:I am currently on a low carb diet - just FYI
