User :   My Dr. said my ecg showed a persistent juvenile pattern is this serious. she has sent me for a stress test.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr. XXX
User :   hello Dr.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Juvenile pattern is not serious though
Doctor :   Do you have any symptoms like chest pain dizziness, frequent falling
Doctor :   BP problems etc
User :   no but i had bp problems only when pregnant
Doctor :   What is your age and why did you go to Doctor?
User :   I am 35 in Ausgust and I went because I had pain the chest only when swallowing water. I know its strange. My chest x-ray was normal. I have no pain now. It went away.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   The persistant juvenile pattern is common on many ECG of normal person
Doctor :   however it is better to get a TMT or stress ECG done
Doctor :   It is common in children and atheletes
Doctor :   As I am general physician, a cardiologist consult here can give you more information about this
User :   I'm not an athlete. It also said something about depolarization of the right part and then it suggested that i had juvenile pattern. The t waves on the ecg went down instead of up.
Doctor :   They are called 'T wave inversions'
User :   what it a tmt
User :   sorry i meant what is a tmt
Doctor :   Tread mill test or Exercise ECG
User :   so in your opinion though it doesn't seem to indicate something serious? Is this pattern seen in people with heart murmurs?
Doctor :   May or may not
Doctor :   No specific relation
User :   So it may be something serious? I think you originally said it wasn't.
Doctor :   What I meant was persistant pattern does not mean you have a heart disease
Doctor :   It is normal and common to have it in children and athelets
Doctor :   However for better evaluation Exercise test is done
Doctor :   If the Doctor does not find anything on exercise test which is more sensitive
Doctor :   then it is not worrisome
User :   ok thanks. If you don't mind what could it be if not heart disease....any general idea?I'm having alot of anxiety over this.
Doctor :   Anxiety
Doctor :   can also cause this
Doctor :   I do not have more information on this
User :   anxiety can cause t wave inversion during an ecg
Doctor :   You may want to ask our panel of cardiologist
