User :   I'm female and 21. My family has a history of diabetes on both sides. I was diagnosed with high cholesterol at the age of 13. The last time I went to get checked out, which was last year around this time, my cholesterol levels were good, and everything was normal. I moved to Colorado from Miami in April, and I began having heart palpitations that were lasting 3-10 seconds and were accompanied by dizziness. I've experienced them 3 times since April. I've never had palpitations before, so I thought they might be from the altitude adjustment. A week ago I began exercising (something I have never regularly done), and near the end of my two mile jog, I began to feel a sharp pain above my left breast, near the armpit. The pain subsided with rest. The day after, I experienced something I thought of as a panic attack. Suddenly, while sitting down, a chill overcame my entire body. I stood up and felt my heart beating faster, I was dizzy, confused and for a second I thought I was having a heart attack. After lying down on a couch, I was still very jittery, still very scared and had chills but felt simultaneously hot and sweaty. Since then, I have not felt well. My chest has felt tight, and I feel as if I have to breathe deeper. When I'm lying down, the sensation is almost like having a weight in the middle of my chest, in between my breasts. Besides this discomfort, I have not felt pain anywhere else, but I am constantly conscious of the tight sensation in my chest that's been going on for almost four days. The last thing I should mention is that I've been under a lot of stress since moving. I have a history of depression and have always been somewhat of an anxious person. I'm going through a rough time with the move and am under a lot of pressure in my job, and personal life. I plan to visit a doctor soon, but I wanted an opinion in the meantime.
