Doctor :   Torsion testis is one condition where blood supply to the testis will be hampered temporarily leading to pain in the groin .. this most of times happens after bath , after passing urine and most of times associated with mild discomfort and bloating in the abdomen

Doctor :   Hernia does present with swelling

Doctor :   yes, the same can present with swelling and rarely you get pain in inguinal hernia

User :   what can I do to confirm what is it?
User :   will CT scan show anything?
Doctor :   A Doppler scan of the testis.. If the scan confirms then you may have to visit a urologist

Doctor :   No , CT can not pick it up

Doctor :   Not at al, its very common and curable condition
Doctor :   but if untreated for long time it may result in infertility
User :   no surgery right?
Doctor :   Surgery is needed in complicated long standing cases. In miler cares medical treatment will suffice
