User :   Hello, I have been having pain underneath my arrmpit on the left side of my body for the past two months, sometimes it hurts to breathe and is tender to the touch, its also hurts right above my chest on left side, near shoulder

User :   i work out about 3x a week
User :   yes,about 2 months ago, he thought it was a puled muscle, but its not getting any better only worse
Doctor :   have you noticed any swelling in that area ?
Doctor :   were any tests done ?
User :   no, had a EKg and stress test done in August for something else and both came back good
Doctor :   so no X ray of your shoulder ?
User :   nope, just lungs, that came back clear
Doctor :   well you are right if it was a pulled muscle it must improve by now
Doctor :   i suggest you to get an MRI done . that will tell us the exact cause
Doctor :   have you been taking any medications ?
User :   ibuprofin
Doctor :   also i would like to suggest you too stop working out and give complete rest to your shoulder
User :   ok sounds good, thank you for the help, but its not my shoulder its underneath my armpit
Doctor :   have you noticed any lump ?
Doctor :   when you touch at the point where it hurts ?
User :   nope
User :   it hurts underneath my armpit, tender to the touch, as well as my chest muscle is tender
Doctor :   you do need MRI to evaluate the cause
