User :   I have been having pain in my abdomen for 11 months now. It started on the right side of my belly button. It's starting to get worse. I am now nauseated all the time. I can't eat much. There's a pain in my lower back that won't go away, and muscle pain on right by my right hip bone.
Doctor :   hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   let me read what you have typed
User :   ok
Doctor :   have you reported this to your doctor/gastroenterologist during these 11 months? if yes, were any investigations done?
User :   yes plenty
Doctor :   please describe the pain in detail.
Doctor :   please provide the investigation results.
User :   It's a severe pain. Feels like someone is stabbing me
User :   Cat Scan, nothing. Pap Smear, nothing. Cystoscopy, varicose veins in my bladder. Colposcopy, benign mass on my cervix. Ultrasounds, small cyst on my right ovary
Doctor :   when was the ultrasound scan done?
User :   last week
User :   they did both vaginal and regular
Doctor :   is there any discharge associated with the ovarian cyst?
User :   no, I have a vaginal infection. That's what they told me at the ER
Doctor :   do you have pain, discomfort, itching, foul dischrage from vagina?
User :   not after the anti-biotics
Doctor :   ok. then the pain could be related to the ovarian cyst and/or adhesions due to it
User :   the doctor at the ER said that he doubts it's that because it's so small
Doctor :   for a closer and accurate diagnosis, a laparoscopic examination would help
User :   I think he said it's like 2cm long
Doctor :   2cm is very large, it will be approximately your ovary size.
User :   Idk then. he said it's very small
Doctor :   ok. please confirm the size of it, it will be mentioned in your ultrasound scan report
User :   I don't have that.
User :   they also said that my right ovary is enlarged.
Doctor :   also discuss with your treating gynecologist for getting further tests done to confirm the exact cause for pain, to be able to start you on adequate treatment.
User :   but they said that could be due to ovulating
Doctor :   ovary enlargement an be present due to the cyst and inflammation.
User :   I've been trying for months. No one can tell me anything.
User :   ok
Doctor :   ovulation pain will be in midcycle, and last for 2-5 days, it will not be intermittent
User :   ok
Doctor :   you can try with ovulation kits , or with measuring basal body temperature to see if you are ovulating
User :   alright
User :   so your professional opinion is that my best interest is to get laproscopy?
Doctor :   you can request for serial scans also known as follicular scans to see for the follicle size and growth and predict ovulation time
User :   ok
Doctor :   to help you conceive and time your intercourse for fruitful results
User :   I don't want to conceive
Doctor :   but before that, all infections should be cleared, as they can affect your chances of pregnancy
Doctor :   ok.
User :   ok. I only have one pill left for my anti-boitics
Doctor :   then go ahead with the laparoscopy test and further work-up to confirm the exact cause for the pain.
User :   alright. thank you
Doctor :   is there anything else I can help you with?
User :   that's it
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me. bye for now.
