User :   Hi, I have no pain whatsoever putting a tampon in and no pain while its in, but when I take it out I get this terrible ache that can only be remedied by taking my fingers and reducing the size of the tampon by squeezing it with my fingers. I am 34 years old and this has only become an issue that past few years and only happens from the middle of my period onwards.
Doctor :   Please give me some time to read your post.
Doctor :   Ok,
Doctor :   Since the vaginal mucosa gets softened during the period rashes can be expected with the placed in tampoon , hence you experience pain
User :   the pain is like a cramping pain, like if you have period cramps on it is right where the tampon is, so the rashes can cause the pain?
User :   I have an annual exam this week (2007 exam everything was ok) should I bring this up to the obgyn?
Doctor :   Yes, it could mainly due to the rashes caused by tampon
Doctor :   other cause could probably be due to vaginismus
Doctor :   Vaginismus means pain due to reflex contraction of vaginal walls and uterus as a reaction to the the stimulus caused by tampon
User :   oh sounds about right, yes it feels almost like a suction when the tampon comes out, any reason why it would just come about now when I am 34 and have had my period several years?
