User :   She has been diagnosed with a ovarian cyst

User :   We got married last year in august
User :   Her height is 5'2" and her weight is between 55-56 kgs

User :   yes we were trying for a baby

User :   since about 4 cycles her periods were quite irregular

User :   infact the last 2 periods were 45 and 60 days respectively

Doctor :   The vast majority of ovarian cysts are considered functional (or physiologic). In other words, they have nothing to do with disease.

User :   yes we are seeing a gynaec in right now

User :   yes the gynaec advised her a scan

User :   initially she asked her for a thyroid test to be done in which her TSH levels were found to be above normal

User :   yes it is becoz of irregular periods that she asked for the ultrasound

User :   wats the difference between hypo and hyper ?
Doctor :   hypo means less functioning
Doctor :   Functional ovarian cysts are the most common type of ovarian cyst.
Doctor :   They usually disappear by themselves and seldom require treatment.
User :   the difficulty is that me being here in and she being in i am unable to have access to the report and talk to the gynaec directly
User :   the doc has advised some medicines and told it seems that surgery wont be required

User :   so is it bcoz of the cyst that she is not ale to conceive ?

Doctor :   poor hormones that support preganncy
Doctor :   pcod is poly cystic ovarian disease

User :   she is now taking medicines for thyroid as well and to regularizeher periods as well

User :   she said she is feeling very uneasy and some grumbling in her stomach
