User :   I am facing neck pain from last 9 months..

User :   and its not like simple neck pain.. its in left side of neck starting from back portion of head upto my shoulder..

User :   i went two times in hospital.. and doctor said that it is common problem.. u have to do some exercise.. and i am doing that..
User :   but it is not giving me releif..
User :   little bit it i m feeling in my left hand too..

User :   one Xray only..
Doctor :   Did it signify anything

User :   and nothing was there in XRay.. he said that problem is in your muscles.. do some exercises for 1 and 2 month.. and u will be ok..

User :   i dont have lot of work from last 4 months .. generally 6 to 7 hours..
Doctor :   Do you do strech exercises during your office hours for a minute or two at the desk.

User :   yes... this is already told by doctor

User :   everyday in office.. 5 to 10 minutes
User :   and after coming to room.. 10 to 15 minutes in night

User :   one thing doctor.. this pain i feel in a single line
Doctor :   After listening to your history I could think of few reasons of your problem
User :   i mean from a specific starting point from head which covers neck and then to shoulder.
Doctor :   the most important reason is poor posture and poor work ergonomics while at your desk
User :   not a big portion of neck it covers..

User :   yes little bit it has.. but.. when i m moving my head up and down then left side of neck i feel..

Doctor :   If it is not helping with it then you might need to go for Ultrasonic massage therapy from an Occupational Therapist

Doctor :   The desk exercises are to be done once in every one hour at your desk
Doctor :   it takes just 1 or 2 minutes to do them

Doctor :   To reduce the number of episodes and the intensity of pain episodes you have to follow the desk exercises and the other stretch exercises the Occupational therapist say to you

Doctor :   say around 4 to 6 weeks
Doctor :   but it would be really beneficial to you
Doctor :   Do not stop the exercises once you feel that you have been relieved of pain
Doctor :   You continue the exercises

Doctor :   One important thing do not look at the computer screen for more than 10 minutes at a time
Doctor :   and take a stroll around in the office once in every 45 minutes
Doctor :   and do the exercises that I send you.
