Doctor:Good morning
Doctor:How are you?
User:Fine Thanks
Doctor:How can I help you today?
User:I want to discurse one problem with you.
Doctor:Yes go ahead.
User:I am facing chest pain from last 1 year its near heart.
Doctor:Go ahead
User:I consulted MD who gave me pain killers and cream saying that its muscular pain
User:But it did not worked
User:And now day by day the pain is increasing
Doctor:Can you describe the quality of pain?
User:I have not consulted any doc after that
User:Its 1 to 2 hrs a day or sometimes 1/2 hr after time frame of 2 - 3 hrs every day.
Doctor:Does it get worse with something?
User:Yes while climbing a mountain or stairs
Doctor:Does it get worse by breathing?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:Yes but only some times normaly and while climbing mountain with every breath
User:Only at a perticular spot near the heart
Doctor:Can you feel pain when you press it?
User:No not much
Doctor:It seems that the pain is coming from a deeper structure in the chest.
Doctor:It does not seem to be originating from the musculoskeletal system.
User:That the reason the pain killers are not working
Doctor:Since it is correlating with breathing, it is possible that it is coming from the lining of the lings.
Doctor:I need to ask another question here.
Doctor:Do you smoke?
User:I was having smoking habit for 10 yrs
User:But only 1 - 2 cigarate a day
Doctor:So further investigations are warranteed at this point to pin-point the cause of the pain.
User:But I have quit smoking 4 mts back.
Doctor:That is good as it helps the lung get back to normal
Doctor:But still more tests are needed
User:So how to procedure further
Doctor:We need to start with an ECG to rule out heart conditions.
User:ECG is normal every time
Doctor:Alongwith it a chest x-ray needs to be done. Further imaging may be done according to the findings
Doctor:Thus the etiology seems to be a lung condition.
Doctor:Have you been having lung problems?
User:No medical history till date
Doctor:Like coughing up sputum or difficulty breathing?
User:No breathing or cough problem.
User:Not even for past 2 - 3 yrs
Doctor:Actually a ct scan of chest can be undertaken to check the pleural diseases
Doctor:pleura is the lining of the lungs
Doctor:You need to see a pulmonologist or a surgeon.
Doctor:Do you have any question here?
User:No thanks
Doctor:You can login again to chat with a doctor 24/7
