User :   i think i suffer from following problems: 1) Mood swings
2) Fear/Anxiety from any new work/situation
3) Think negative a lot
4) easily get into depression which has affected confidence a lotI dont know how to tackle these. I am 27 and do a full time job.More so, i know my problems but couldn't cope up with them.Could you suggest something easy to implement and effective to get rid of my disorders.

User :   not to that extent. but yes keep on asking myself what i shuld do in life, more how should i mpement what i decide

Doctor :   According to your brief history that you have provided, you do not seem to have any features of depression.
Doctor :   The symptoms are probably occupation related.
User :   yes maybe... but i do tend to create a fear about unknown future
User :   and i know that these are just unknown..i cant stop thinking about it
Doctor :   I shall suggest you few simple measures that you can implement.
User :   ok
Doctor :   These measures may not help you give results instantly.
Doctor :   1. Start of with physical exercise, yoga and meditation.
User :   i have started doing that..i do go swimming these days
Doctor :   Continue these as they play a major role in relaxing your mind.
Doctor :   2. It is necessary that you start thinking positively.
User :   ok
Doctor :   If you are not able to do that, then you would need assistance.
Doctor :   You can get this assistance from reading.
User :   yes that the part i really m not able to cope with
User :   oh i have read a lot of self help books
Doctor :   This infact the problem with most of them.
User :   not helping much
Doctor :   This can be corrected.
User :   ok...shoot your solution
Doctor :   if self reading you, then you would need assistance people.
Doctor :   You can visit a psychologist.
Doctor :   Regular counselling is the next method, if reading is not helping you.
Doctor :   3. It is also equally important to take things calmly.
Doctor :   I mean when you become nervous while facing new tasks, it will not help in promoting your confidence.

Doctor :   Hence while you are in those situations, you can try breathing exercise or breathe counting.

Doctor :   Once you have done it, if you feel the task is big, you can break the task into small once and start implementing it.
User :   i become a lot more conscious at situations..
User :   and time is always a constraint

Doctor :   However this will definitely start changing slowly over a period of time when you start building confidence in you.
Doctor :   And like I said, it may take some time.
Doctor :   Since medical drugs are for relieving symptoms alone, if your anxiety symptoms are very severe, these medications can be used.
Doctor :   However, I would suggest you to consult the psychologist before trying on these medications.
User :   no no..i dont want medication...i just want some guidance
User :   ok to tackle fears...thats the major problem i am facing
Doctor :   And finally it is important that you have good rest both physically and mentally.
User :   right
Doctor :   This is possible with good sleep, taking breaks from work, moving with people freely, music, sports and so on.
Doctor :   Also important is good nutritious diet.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   i fear mostly of unfinished work, not so bright future etc.
User :   i do all of these activities doc
User :   i go trekking,read novels...go to my home to my parents...
Doctor :   Plan your work according to the time, break it accordingly and you would be able to perform better with it.
Doctor :   It may not be happening instantly,
Doctor :   However with those measures, which I suggested, they will definitely help you achieve your target.
User :   i have time... but i want to complete it now...since not doing it will make me conscious and fearful
Doctor :   Make your goals small and short as possible and fix time strains for achieving this.
Doctor :   Are you following what I am saying.
Doctor :   If you are thinking in terms of small goals and not the whole, then once you accomplish this, your confidence should be improving.

Doctor :   Try these simple measures and don't get disheartened if they are not giving you results instantly.

Doctor :   You should be able to overcome all these over a period of time.
