User :   My mom is visiting me in California. She has been here for about 3 weeks right now. She has been telling me that at night, she is getting cramps in her calf muscles. Can you tell me what can cause this?

Doctor :   the calf muscle cramps in old age are common
Doctor :   it is also known as nocturnal cramps
Doctor :   it usually happens due to deficiency of essential nutrients.
User :   What kind of nutrients would help alleviate something such as this?
User :   Also, this has been happening regularly only India she has them, but rarely..out here it's pretty much every night
Doctor :   usually it is deficiency of vitamin b group of nutrients.
Doctor :   giving her a good multivitamin would help
