User :   hi.. i'm on day 3 of levaquin and my sinus infection has all but gone but my cough seems to be getting worse.. I just coughed so hard my nose bled. I'm taking cough syrup and that helps for a couple hours but i'm a little worried.
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Good morning Dr
Doctor :   Very good morning
Doctor :   Do you produce sputum on coughing ?
User :   it's a relatively loose cough but does not always produce sputum
Doctor :   ok, can you say it as dry cough ?
User :   honestly sometimes it is dry and other times it feels like it wants to caugh up something
Doctor :   ok, i would ask you to continue the Levaquin for another 2 days ( complete 5 day course )
User :   ok.. if it's not better then go back to the dr's?
Doctor :   and gargle with CHLORHEXIDINE solution twice a day after food
User :   ok i will go out today and get that.
Doctor :   try my advice for another 2 days from now , if no relief then you may have to visit the specialist for another course of different antibiotics
Doctor :   and may i know what cough syrup are you on ?
User :   um it's the kind with codeine
Doctor :   better avoid that and go for one with mucolytic and anti tussive
