Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello?
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I have a question about shoulder pain.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I went jogging today and (not a muscle) it seems like either a nerve is pinching or a vein/artery isn't letting blood flow properly.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Can you mention your age, height and weight?
User :   This has happened to me every time I work out intensely for about 1 year now.
User :   25, 5 foot 4, weigh 118
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   It appears to be a muscle spasm.
User :   It's definitely not a muscle.
Doctor :   I suggest that you rest your arm for a few days and apply cold compresses on it.
User :   The muscle is fine, my arm doesn't hurt at all. The pain is much deeper.
Doctor :   Is the pain radiating from the shoulder to anywhere?
User :   Yes. When I breathe, it radiates up my neck to my ear, and down my left side of ribs.
User :   I think it's stemming from the neck of my humerous, but I'm not sure.
Doctor :   I suggest that you try rest and hot compresses after application of volini gel. If that does not relieve the pain, then I suggest that you get an Xray Shoulder joint AP and Lateral View
Doctor :   I also suggest that you sleep without a pillow on a firm surface.
User :   Is there a nerve in there that could be pinched?
Doctor :   Avoid exertion with that arm.
User :   Ok.
Doctor :   It would cause much more severe pain if there is any entrapment.
